RESOLUTION NO. 94-R-20 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD SEPTEMBER 8, 1994; DECLARING THE CANDIDATES FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 1994; PROVIDING FOR APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION WORKERS FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION BY THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OF VOLUSIA COUNTY; REPEALING RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, has made the following determinations: 1. A primary election was held on September 8, 1994, for the purpose of determining the City Council candidates for the November 8, 1994 general election. 2. All votes have been tabulated and confirmed. 3. It is necessary for the City Council to forward to the Supervisor of Elections a list of City Council candidates for the November 8, 1994, general election. 4. It is necessary for the City Council to provide for the appointment of election workers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida: Section 1. The candidates in the September 8, 1994 primary election received the number of votes as set forth below: DISTRICT 2 GiGi Bennington 709 Richard S. Jones 763 Louise A. Martin 804 Section 2. The City Council candidates for the general election to be held on November 8, 1994, are as follows: MAYOR Jack H. Hayman, Sr. George A. Naill DISTRICT 1 Danny K. Hatfield 94-R-20 1 DISTRICT 2 Richard S. Jones Louise A. Martin DISTRICT 3 Michael D. Hays DISTRICT 4 David L. Mitchum Section 3. The election workers for the November H, 1994, general election shall be appointed by the Supervisor of Elections for Volusia County, Florida. Section 4. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and same are hereby repealed. Section S. This resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
