CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Linda Johnson called the regular meeting of the Code Enforcement
Board to order at 2:00 PM in the Community Center.
ROLL CALL
Members present: Linda Johnson, Ed Corn, Glenn Barnhill, Gail Anderson, Ben
Wagner, Alice Haldeman and Sherry Lester. Also present were Code Supervisor
Jeff Lariscy, Code Officer Mike McGrath and Board Coordinator Shontella
Jackson.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Minutes for the regular meeting of June 14, 2012 were presented to the
Board for approval. MOTION by Ed Corn, SECOND by Glenn Barnhill to
adopt the minutes of Regular Citizen Code Enforcement Board on June
14, 2012 as written. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

Code Officer Mike McGrath presented the case summary to the Board. Code

assessing a citation fine of $150.00 and an additional fine of $100.00 per day per
violation that continues to exist past July 13, 2012 and for a lien to be placed on
the property if not satisfied by July 18, 2012. It is also recommended that the
Board issue a Board Order requesting the City Manager approve the cutting of
the grass if the violation is not corrected by July 13, 2012 and that a lien is
placed on the property. Code Officer Mike McGrath testified that the property
was vacant and the grass and weeds exceed 12 inches. No one was present to
testify.
MOTION by Sherry Lester, SECOND by Ed Corn that the Board finds
Dale D. Wisniewski in repeat violation of Section 10-98 of the Code of
Ordinances assessing the citation fine of $150.00 and additional fine of
$100.00 per day for each day the violation exists past July 13, 2012
and that a lien is placed on the property of not satisfied by July 18,
2012. It is also recommended that the Board issue a Board Order
requesting the City Manager approve the cutting of the grass if the
violation is not corrected by July 13, 2012 and that a lien is placed on
the property. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 7-0.

Cabiac in repeat violation of Section 10-98 of the Code of Ordinances assessing a
citation fine of $150.00 and an additional fine of $100.00 per day per violation
that continues to exist past July 13, 2012 and for a lien to be placed on the
property if not satisfied by July 18, 2012. It is also recommended that the Board
issue a Board Order requesting the City Manager approve the cutting of the
grass if the violation is not corrected by July 13, 2012 and that a lien is placed on
the property. Code Office Mike McGrath stated the property is vacant, grass and
weeds exceed 14" and the certified mail was unclaimed. No one was present to
testify.

OTHER BUSINESS:
Training date discussion: The Board agreed upon having a training luncheon on
August 9, 2012 at 12:30 pm and the regular code board hearing at 2:00 pm on
August 9, 2012. Code Supervisor Jeff Lariscy also informed the Board that a
second code board meeting will be needed for the month of August and
requested the second meeting be held on August 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm. The
Board stated they will check their calendars.
CODE COMPLIANCE REPORT:
Code Supervisor Jeff Lariscy gave the stats for the Code Enforcement Division:
75 notice of violation has been issued in the month of July and 150 additional
cases in August via last year numbers.
