Special meeting of the Town Council of Edgeweter,Fla.Called by Layor H.GV.B tchell.
Councilmen present: C.A.Ashcraft, M.B.Haughton? F.L.Carr, a.H.Lohman, H.H.Raulerson/
The minutes of the last meeting omitted and the council proceeded to discuss the
question of opening the ditch running northward to the canal,and lying between the
Dixie highway and the F.E.C.Fy.
A motion was made and passed that the mayor appoint a comnittie to confer with the
owners of property abbuting on said ditch,and report at the next meeting.
The mayor appointed the following: Les sera.Haughton, Lohman, Raulerson.
The Womans Civic League presented the following petition
"The "'omens Civic League of Edgewater respectfully petition the Council
of the Town of Edgev,ater to pass such legislation as is necessary to
- prohibit sewage disposal in such manner as is unhealthful and offensive."
A motion was -duly made and carried that Lrs.Fay Webster be appointed to inspect
the sanitary conditions of the town and report at the next meeting.
An ordinance providing for a fire district was presented,some changes recomended,
and action deferred till next meeting.
Bills from the TTew Smyrna 'Tows Co. were presented and ordered paid .
