Council decided to finish the work at once at estimated cost of fifty dollars.
Mayor Mitchell read a communication from Senator Putnam,suggesting that the
council submit to popular vote the question of changing the name back to
Hawks Park.
Mayor Kitchell was authorized to reply to Senator Putnam stating that it is the
wish of the council to comply with his suggestion.
A motion was duly made and carried that the town should hold an election to
determine the name at such time as the qualified electors desiring to change to
Hawks Park may wish.
Lr. Coffin presented a plat in regard to straightening the old county road,but
the council decided to take no action untill Mr. Wardwell,who is most interested,
returns in the fall.
A committee consisting of L_essers Lohman and Faulerson was appointed to confer
with L.r. Wilkinson in regard to repairing the Strand and extending Park ave. to
Sanford road.
Resolved that the resolution completing the annexing of Edgewater Beach to The
Town of Edgewater be confirmed and published.
