Patch, seconded by Mr. E. H. Lohman. ..,,O;,U'UNI CATIONS: Bass &. Park, regarding appointment as attorneys. On motion by Mr. A. R. Patch, seconded by Mr. T. R. Warren, the comnur.ication was filed by clerk for future reference. Valentine Engineering Corpr.. , regarding preparation of map of Edgewater. Referred to 1/4-,ormittee on Subdivisions and Maps, Mr. T. R. Warren, Chairman. BILLS AND ACCOUNTS: Following bills approved by Finance Committee: S. J. t.`eyer, x;17.00 Warrant #154 H. Clay Crawford, 2.00 153 New Smyrna News 53.92 156 E. A. Latham 5.00 155 Roy Mathewson 125.00 157 On motion by Mr. A. R. Patch, seconded by Mr. A. B. Wilkinson, the bills were ordered paid. On motion by Mr. A. R. Patch, seconded by Mr. E. H. Lohman, salary of clerk from November 15th to December 15th, $25.00, was ordered paid. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES: Committee on Streets and Highways, Mr. A. B. Itilkinson, Chairman: The chairman reported that the corrnittee approved of allowing R. B. Sheller_barger to construct a landini:: dock at the foot of Park Avenue, for pleasure use. On Motion by Mr. A. R. Patch, seconded by Mr. H. Lohman, the report was accepted. Mr. Shellenbarger was thereupon notified accordingly. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMIT c. S: Committee to confer with Landis, Fish & Hull; Mr. E. H. Lohman, Chairman: The chairman reported that the comrJ.ttee had conferred with Landis, Fish and Hull regarding their appointme x as attorneys, and that they offered to perform the duties for the sum of 4400.00 per year as a retaining fee. The chairman also explained ir_ detail his conference with the firm. No action vas taken by the council to accept or reject the report. 62 ■ ■ 4 UNFINISHED BUSINESS: (Marshall) P. H. Simpson exhibited to the council a gun priced at 4. 35.00. On motion by Mr. A. R. Patch, seconded by Mr. E. H. Lohman, the Marshall was notified that the council would purchase the gun at that price, authorizing the Marshall to close the purchase , presenting bill to council for payment. (Attorney) President Fee appointed Geo. I. Fullerton as Town Attorney for the ensueing year. Vote was made by roll call, as follows: S. R. Fee , Yes A. B. Wilkinson, No E. H. Lohman, No T. R. Warren , No A. R. Patch, No and the appointment of Mr. Fullerton wes not confirmed by the council. President Fee appointed Bass 8: Park as Town Attorneys for the ensueing year, submitting to roll call vote for confirmation, as follows: S. R. Fee , Yes A. B. Wilkinson, No E. H. Lohman, No T. R. Warren, Yes A. H. Patch, Yes and the ap;pointr:gent was confirmed by the council. Colonel Z. Bass, who was present as a representative of the firm of Bass 81 Park, was notified of the appointment . (Drainage) On motion by Mr. E. H. Lohman, seconded by i;.r . T. R. Warren, clerk was instructed to notafy Highland Shores, Inc., to open up drainage ditch across their property in Edgewater, in accordance with survey and elevations on file with clerk. (Adjournment) No other business coming before the body, °r. A. B. Wilkinson moved that the body adjourn. Seconded by Mr. A. R. Patch, and married. k
