MAYOR'S REPORT
TO THE HONORABLE TOWN COUNCIL,
TO`IN OF EDGEWATER:
Herewith I hand you a full report of all
work done under my supervision since the last report , made
to the Council at the last meeting.
The completion of the fill at the new bridge
required twenty one days of additional labor, at three dollars
per day, or a total cost of completing the fill of $63.00.
I handled approximately 150 yards of filling, making a total
of 325 yards of filling handled to complete the fill.
The total cost of the fill, including all
labor, was 029.00. I would like to state here that a
similiar fill was made on the New Smyrna side of the bridge ,
with about half as much filling required, atra cost of
$110.00. In other words, I estimate that our fill was
completed at about one half the cost if same had been put in
by contractors.
All of the cost has been paid by the t_wn,
except $63.00, for which receipted bills are in the hands of
the clerk. I have advanced this amount to laborers, as was
my practice in handling this work previously, and respectfully
request that the council order a warrant drawn to reimburse my
private funds with 563.00, as covered by the proper receipts.
Respectfully,
H. E. ZIPPERER, MAYOR
