REPORT OF CLERK
TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR
AND TOWN COUNCIL:
In the matter of transportation Of
high school pupils, which was referred to me for
investigation, I have to report that my investi-
gation has been completed, with results as noted
in Co respondence file accompanyigg this report.
It will be notild that the County
Superintendent of schools states that if he finds
it possible, he will arrange to transport high
school pupils from Edgewater.
In the matter of completion of tax
assessments, the work has not yet been completed,
but is in fair shape. Work has begun on the
final roll, including extensions , and the roll
will be completed as quickly as valuations can be
axanined and approved. I wish to request that
the C uncil arrange, if possible, to continue the
arrangements regarding checking my map books, and
if possible, to complete this check during the
present week. If this is done , I will have the
roll ready for acceptance at the next regular
meeting of the Council, at the present rate of
progress. It is essential that this work be
cormpleted& at the earliest possible date , for several
reasons .
The attention of the Council is also
directed to the fact that only two regular meetings
convene prior to the annual election; in order that
such unfinished business as may be at present out-
standing may be terminated, if it is the desire of
the Council, prior to that time.
Respectfully submitted,
