C OLL ZUNI CA"PIONS :
Clerk read communication from Mr.
r'ullerton, regarding the locating of the new channel±
in the Indian 1tiver near the west bank. After discussion,
it was agreed that this would be greatly to the advantage
of the town, and upon motion of Mr. Lohman , seconded by
Mr. Smith, Mayor Zipperer was authorized to appoint a
Special Committee°to handle the matter. The appointment
of this committee was held over by Mayor Zipperer, pending
the receipt of more detailed information.
Upon motion of Mr. Spicer, seconded by
Mr. Smith, the clerk was requested to handle with Mr.
Fullerton for pur, ose of determinigg when and where the
various committees from other towns and cities will get
toge ther.
BILLS A?SID ACCOUNTS:
Bill from Mr. Simpson for X35.95 was
approved by the -0'iaance Committee, and upon motion of Mr.
Spicer, seconded by Mr. DeWitte, was ordered paid .
REPORTS:
Clerk reported on several matters
referred to him for handling, including assessment of Highland
Shores Subdivision; mpanhatnenam changes in Assessors map
of Alvarez Grant , and that Mr. Colby. had consented to having
his property cleaned at the. expense of adjoining property owners
desiring to clean the same.
Mr. Spicer reported that he had developed
that the jail cages were all owned by the State Road ,i)epartmen t,
and that clerk was handling with the district engineer about them.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Upon mmtd.nn of Er. Spicer, seconded by Mr.
DeWitte, the following were named on the election board for
special election to be held May 15th, 1928 :
Mrs . M. B. Haughton, Inspector
Mr. F . A. Mershon, Inspector
Mr . G. D . Brinckerhoff, Inspector
Mr. R. C . Fuller, Clerk
Upon motion of Mr. Lohman, seconded by
Mr . Smith, Clerk was instructed to procure certified list of
qualified voters eligible to vote in the special election to
be held May 15th, 1928.
Upon motion of Mr. Spicer, seconded by
Mr. Smith, Clerk was instructed to procure necessary official

ballots , inserting thereon the name of names of such candidates
for the office as may qualify as provided by law; and to prepare
the ballot box for the special election to be held May 15th, 1928 .
Clerk read a number of replies to advertisment
inserted in the Miami Herald inquiring zo r a dump truck. As
none of the offers were cans idered satisfactory , the matter was
tabled , upon motion of Mr. Lohman, seconded by Mr. Smith.
Mr. P. B. Ledd in, Treasurer, was present ,
ar d opened a discussion on the status of the dock at the foot
of Ocean Avenue. Clerk stated that he had had f or some time
an estimate of the material required to effect temporary repairs,
and would have the material delivered at the dock when arraggements
had been made by the citizens of the town to furnish the necessary
labor to effect the repairs .

Upon motion of Mr. Spicer, seconded by Mr.
Lohman, the Clerk was instructed te; open negotiations with the
fficers of the Village Improvement Association, with a view
of' arranging a joitrtt session of the executive heads of that
Association with the Mayor and Council.
Uron motion of Mr. Spicer, seconded by Mr.
Loran, the street cornmitt oe was requested to proceed with
the shelling of such streets as required attention, to the
extent of the budget appropriation.
Upon motion of L—. Lohman , seconded by
Mr. Spicer, the meeting -cas adjourned .
