COUNCIL OF EDGEWATER ON MAY
11th 1928

Meeting was called to order by Clerk, in absence of
Mayor and Fresident of Council ; who explained that the
purpose of the meeting was to hear petitions regarding
the special election to be held May 15th; and to
transact other such business as mid-it come before the
Council at this t ire .
The -,etitions from the required number
of voters, requesting that the names of Messrs. F. H.
Smith, 2. A. Mershon and W. R. Skinner be placed xpon
the ballots for the Special Election on May 15th as
candidates for the office for Councilman to fill the
unexpired term of A. B . Wilkinson, were read.
Upon motion by Mr. Deditte , seconded
by Mr . iJohman, the petitions were accepted and the Clerk
ordered to have the names shown upon the ballots.
Mr. anith and Mr. Lohman reported that
definite plans had been made regarding the program of the
Street Committee , and submitted the following outline as
to immediate plans :
Park Avenue, x$125.00
Knapp Ave . , West 50.00
Hamilton Drive 125.00
Repairs to other
streets 100.00
Purchase of lime
rock 100.00
It was explained that the grade on Park
Avenue would be raised, while Hamilton rive at the River
ould be levelled and the approach to the new bridge straightened
raised and surfaced.
The Clerk was instructed by tree Street
Committee to order one carload (50 tons) of lime rock, at
quotation of 75g per ton.
Upon motion of Mr. Lohman, seconded by Mr.
Deditte , the meeting was adjourned.
