REPORTS OF OFFICERS:
Clerk submitted fiscal report for month of
May, which was accepted on motion of Mr. Lohman, seconded
by Mr. Spicer.
year Clerk submitted report of Tax Collector for
IMMOMMEt of 1927. Upon motion of Mr. Spicer, seconded by
Mr. Smith, the report was accepted and clerk authorized to
draw warrant for $175.00 in payment of services during past
year.
REPORTS OF CO M:!iI'rr AES:
Street committee reported on handling of
bids for hauling lime rock. Report acepted on motion of
Mr. Spicer, secondd d by Mr. Smith.
Mr. Spicer reported on jail committee, that
prison cage could be secuated for $50 .00. After discussion,
upon motion of Mr. Lohman, amended by Er. Spicer, and
seconded by Mr. Smith, clerk was instructed to table the
matter, advising County Board of Breward County that we
did not wish to take any action on purchasing the cage at
this time.

Report on 2ro ject No. 2 - 1928
TO THE MAYOR AND COU'vCIL:
Project Na. 2, covering the improvement
of Hamilton Drive and Strand Boulevard at the Gabardy
Canal :
One carload of lime rock has been secured
for this project, at a cost of $1.9725 per ton, delivered
in :Edgewater. This rock is to be speead on streets ,
packed , and waterproofed with suitable preparation, not
yet decided upon.
Bids were asked for hauling and unloading
this carload of rock. Bids were received as follows :
H. A. Moore, 45.00
D. M. McDonald , ;80.80 per ton
S. L. DeLoach, 0 .50 per ton
The bids were received sealed , and were
opened and tabulated in the presence of . H. Lohman,
H. Smith , N. Deaitte, and M. L. sillier, Clerk.
S. L. DeLoach was found to be the lowett bidder, and
the unloaded and hauling of the carload of rock was
therefore awarded to S. L. DeLoach, who deposited the
sum of ten dollars with M. L. 2uller, Clerk , as evidence
of good faith. Under the terms of the agreement , S. L.
DeLoachwill be responsible for demurrage accruing on the
car, unless this responsibility is assum d by the Street
Committee in directing Mr . yeLoacZi to wait longer than
the period not anticipated, before unloading .
Deposit of ten dollars , which accompanied
the bid of D. 1 . McDonald, has been returned to the bidder.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
The matter of additional electric
lights was discussed, and upon motion of Mr. Lohman,
seconded by Mr. Spicer, it was decided to place 2f
additional lights, to be located as follows :
1 at foot Merrimack Avenue
1 corner Palm Way & Park Place
1 at new bridge on Gabardy Canal,
expense to be bour ne equally by
New Smyrna and Edge:rater.
Clerk was authorized to han dl e wi th
City Manager of New Smyrna and have the lights installed,
upon same basis as with previous installafrions , except
the light at the Gabardy Canal on Strand , which the expense
of is to be equally divided between New Smyrna and l dge.=cater.
NEW BUSIIE SS:
Upon motion of Mr. Spicer, seconded by
Mr. Lohman, it was agreed to pay the Treasurer $25 .00 for
services rendered during )ast year, and to also present him
with copy of the Map of Edge rater.
Mr. Smith presented plat covering
re-subdivision of lot 21 of the G. Alvarez Grant, formerly
known as "Naranga Gardens". Upon mot ion of Mr. Spicer,
seconeed by Mr. Loiraan, the plat was a jproved , and Mr.
Patch authorized to affix his signature to the same in
witness of the approval.
Upon motion of Mr. Spicer, seconded by
Smith, the meeting was adjourned.
