COMMENTS
Insomuch as no business has been transacted from October
31, 1928 to November 10, 1928, except by the Treasurer, whose statement
extends to November 4, 1928, in order to include the payment of all
accounts to date, the report may be extended to November 10, if
desired.
All bank balances have been checked in detail and found.
correct. No outstanding checks or other liabilities encumber the
balances as shown.
The authority for all disbursements has been verified and
warrants are on file to cover same.
The collection of taxes by the Tax Collector was approximately
87.9%. In addition a substantial amount has been collected since the
Tax Sale by the Clerk.
In conclusion I wish to gratefully acknowledge the splendid
co-operation given me by the officers of the Town during this audit.
