320 ORDINANCE NO. 32. rA AN ORDINANCE, Prescribing the Authority and Duties of the Town Marshal of the Town of Edgewater, Florida. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWNCCDNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. The town marshal shall have authority to make arrests for the violation of ordinances of said town or the laws of the State of Florida, and in the event of any arrest by him, of any person for the violation of any ordinance, he shall accept a bond, or other security, for the appearance of any person so arrested, wlch appearance bond shall not be less thtniFive Dollars ($5.00). Section 2. The marshal shall be the custodian of all the personal property of the town, except that contained in and composing a part of the furnishings of any town building, and at the beginning of his term of office, or when the Council shall so direct, he shall receipt for such property,as well as any additions that may from time to time be made thereto, and shall be responsible for its proper care until relieved by the Council of such care and responsibility. In case of an alarm of fire, or of riot or disorderly conduct, he shall promptly repair to such place for the discharge of his duties and shall be present at all elections and other gatherings of persons where dis- turbances or violations of the law may occur, to suppress the same. He shall report in person to the Mayor at least once every day, and give an account of his official doings, and receive such instructions as the Mayor may deem necessary to give, and shall discharge such other duties as may be prescribed by law or shall from tijbe to time be required by the Town Council. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon being passed by the Town Council, approved by the Mayor, or becoming a Law without such approval, and after having been posted for two days at the V. I. A. Hall, and in three public places in the Town of Edgewater, Florida.
