MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
TOWN COUNCIL, TOWN OF EDGE-
WATER,VoLUSIA COUNTY, FLA. ,
HELD TUESDAY _',IARRCH 18- 1930,
MEETING called to order at 7:30 P. T. by Pres. Marz.

MINUTES of regular meeting held March 4th were read
and adopted on motion of Ald.H.A.Moore seconded
by Ald.Paul Van Arman. Motion unanimously carried.
BILLS AND ACCOUNTS :
Clerk read following bills:

Motion by Ald.Van Arman seconded by Ald.H.P.
Wilkinson that bills be paid as read. Motion unanimously
carried.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS:
Clerk read Monthly reports of Clerk and Treas-
urer. Motion by Ald. Van Amman seconded by Ald.H.A.Moore
that tririctxxkix the reports be received and made a part of
these minutes. Motion unanimously carried.
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES:
Chairman Moore of Street Committee reported
that a portion of the street signs had been erected, and
balance would be erected as early as possible. Attention
was called to incorrect spelling of word"Yelkca° on sign
for Yelkca Terrace , and to the failure to erect the
Stop signs on Park Avenue and Hamilton Road. Council ask-
ed Mr.Moore to have these and any other errors corrected
and have the work completed.
Ordinance Committee reported that pursuant to
instructions from the Council that they had conferred
with Hull Landis and Whitehair with a view
to employing them as Town Attorneys for a period of
one year, and that they would reccomend the employment
of Hull Landis and W hiteh .&rr .
Ald.W.T .Goodyear made :notion that:.the firm,
of Hull Landis and Whitehair be employed as Attorneys for
the Town of Edgewater for a period of one year beginning
at once , at a retaining fee of One Hundred Dollars per
anum, payable in advance, and that the Town Clerk be
hereby instructed to draw a Warrant on the Treasurer of
the Town of Edgewater, payable to Hull Landis and White-
hair in the sum of One Hundred Dollars in payment of

one years retention fee. The Roll Call vote on this motion
being as follows: Pres. Marz, Yes . A1d.Goodyear, Yes , Aid.
Van Arman, Yes. Ald.H.A.Moore yes , Aid. H.P . �iikinson, Yes.
Clerk issued Warrant No 716 in compliance with the order of
this motion.
NEW BUSINESS:
Clerk requested authority to publish notices
in New Smyrna Breeze and New Smyrna Daily News , of the final
dates for payment and the hours during which the Clerks office
would be open for the collection of 1929 taxes.
Ald.H.A.Moore made motion, which was seconded by
Ald.,W.T .Goodyear, that Clerk be authorized to run notice in
New Myrna Breeze one time, March 28th, and in the New Smyrna
Daily. News March 28th and 29th, stating the hours the Clerks
office would be open and calling attention to the fact that
unpaid Town Taxes will be-come delinquint after March 31st.
Motion unanimously carried.
Motion by Ald.Van Arman seconded by Ald.H.P .
Wilkinson to adjourn. Carried.
