ORGANIZATION MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY,
FLORIDA, HELD FOR THE PURPOSE OF ORGANIZ-
ING UNDER THE ACT OF THE LEGISLATURE OF
THE STATE OF FLORIDA ENACTED AT ITS REGU-
LAR SESSION IN THE YEAR A.D. 1931, HELD
IN THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, ON THE
FIRST DAY OF JUNE, A.D. 1931, AT THE HOUR
OF 7.30 O'CLOCK P.M. , AT THE TOWN HALL IN
SAID TOWN.
There were present at this organization meeting W. T.
Goodyear, F. R. Renwick and Harry Moore, being the
Town Councilmen named and designated by the legisla-
tive act enacted by the Legislature of the State of
Florida at its regular session in the year 1931, per-
taining to the government of the said Town. There
was also present at said meeting R. C. Fuller, Town
Clerk of said Town, who called said meeting to order.

Councilman c • (�0 moved that any and
all irregularities in the call, time, manner and
place of holding this meeting, be waived and that
each of the officers of said Tovm of Edgewater at
said meeting subscribe their respective names to these
minutes as evidence of their waiver of any and all
irregularities in the call and conduct of this meet-
ing . Said motion was seconded by councilman

mous vote of all present.
The undersigned officers of the Town of Edgewater
do each and severally waive any and all irregular-
ities in the call, time , manner, place and conduct
of the organization meeting of the Town Council of
said Town, held upon this day, and as evidence there-
; of have subscribed their names to these minutes.

Town Clerk and all other officers and em-
ployees of said Town of Edgewater, Florida,
legally constituted and organized under
the provisions of the laws applicable there-
to. "
Said motion was seconded by Councilman 0-4?-�7`
and upon vote being taken, said resolution
was duly adopted and passed by the affirmative vote
of all present.
The Town Councilmen hereinabove named, as well as
the Town Clerk, having duly taken their respective
oaths of office, duly filed the same as required by
law.

Council elect one of its members to be known and
designated as the Mayor-Councilman and said motion
was seconded by Councilman g oe .�,«... , and
upon being put to a vote was duly carried by the
affirmative vote of all present.

Mayor-Councilman. No other nomination having been
suggested the Chairman requested a vote f the Town

the members of said Council voting as follows:

Thereupon said O evwa was de-

clared to be the duly elected Mayor-Councilman of
said Town of Edgewater, Florid The eupon the
Town Clerk stepped down and .e —;-
the newly elected Mayor-Councilman, took charge of
the meeting and thereafter presided over same.
Councilman / moved that the am-

and same was duly seconded and upon being put to
a vote, was passed by the affirmative vote of all
present.
The Town Clerk thereupon tendered a bond in the
sum of ,40009 ■ to the said Council and
Councilman -- �1 moved that said
bond so tendered by said Clerk be accepted and ap-
proved, and said motion was duly seconded and upon
being put to a vote was passed by the affirmative
vote of all present.
Councilman 1 � moved that R. C.
Fuller, the Town Clerk, be recognized as such
Clerk and that he continue to hold such office un-
der and subject to the terms and provision`s of
the aforesaid Legislative Act pertaining to the
government of said Town, said motion being duly
seconded, and upon being put to a vote was duly
passed by the affirmative vote of all present.
The Mayor-Counci an there on announced that he
had appointed as the Town

Marshal of said Town and requested that said ap-
pointment be approved and confirmed by said coun-
cil.
It was thereupon moved by Councilman Z&____ AALes_efik

, and upon being put to a vote duly pass-
ed, that __ _ be recognized
as the Town Marshal of said Town.

passed by the vote of those present, the said meet-
ing was thereupon adjourned, subject to call of the
Mayor-Councilman.
