10-24-1931 - Adjourned Regular • Sal `+err/ MINUTES OF ADJOURNED, REGULAR MEETING OF THE TO'uf COUNCIL TOWN OF EDGEUATER,FT,ORIDA HELD SATURDAY OCTOBER 24th A.D. 1931. Meeting called to order at 7:00 O' clock P by Mayor : .T .Goodyear. ROLL CALL: Mayor W.T.Goodyear, Present Councilman F.R.Renuick, Present Councilman H.A.Moore , Present. Clerk read the petitions of John J. Francis , F.R.Renwick and H.P.; ilkinson, as candidates for the office of Councilman, *nil the*, petit- ion of R.C .Puilerm as a candidate for the office of Town Clerk, in the nnual election to be held November 3rd A.D. 1931. notion by Councilman H.A.Moore , seconded by Councilman ',t .T.Goody ear, that the petitions of John J.J"rancis, F...Renwick and r"t_.a: lk- • inson as candidates for the office of Council- man and that of R.C.Puller, as a candidate for the office of Town Clerk, be received, and if f r d,-In the signatures of .petitioners checked, against the registration books. Motion unanimously carried. The Council thereupon checked the petitions and found that they :.ere in order, properly signed by 25 qualified voters of the Town of Edgewater. Motion was then made by Councilman H.A.Moore , and seconded by Councilman F.R.Renwick, that the Cle2r be instructed to have ballots printed for the annual election to be held November 3rd A.D. 1931, placing thereon the names of such candidates as 1e have been Qualified with the Town Council. Motion unanimously carried. The following Resolution was thereupon introduced by Councilman H.A.Moore , to fill the vacancy in the Election Board caused by the inability of H.P.Wilkinson to serve: ( see page 2 of these minutes ) NN 1 7 Page 2. Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Town Council, Town of Edgewater,Flo-rida held Satur lay October 24th A.D. 1931- R E S O L U U T I O N A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A CLERK AMID THREE INSPECTORS TO ACT AT THE ANNUAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE TOWN OF EDGET/ATER, FLORIDA, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd A.D. 1931. WHEREAS, it is necessary and proper for the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater,Florida, to appoint, for the annual election to be held in the said Town on the 3rd day of November A.D, 1931, four ( 4) persons froca the qualified electors of said Town three (3) of whom shall act as Inspectors at such election and One (1) to act as Clerk at said Election, NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGE STATER FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS : Section One. That, A.L.Lamont and Rudolph Williams and C.,4-.Ashcraft, all three _ of whom are duly qualified electors of the Town of Edgerater, Florida, be, and they are hereby appointed to acteas Inspectors of the Annual Election to be held in the Toc:n of Edgewater Florida on the third day of November A.D. 1931, Secti3n 2. That ir.B •Haughton, a duly qualified elector of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, be and he is hereby appointed to act as Clerk, of the annual election to be held in the Town of Edgewater , Florida on the third day of November A.D. 1931. Section 3. That a similar Resolution, dated October 6th A.D. 1931, is hereby repealed and jade of no effect.
