Minutes of regular meeting held Vednesday
July 6th 1932 A.D - conclusion
MISCELLANEOUS BUSIITESS- conclusion-
the owners. That the deed simply protected the
government during the time that the work of
emptying the spoilage from the channel was
in progress. Mr.Lembeck asked the Council to
undertake to assist the Government in securing
these deeds, in order that a favorable impress-
ion might be made on the men doing the work that
would *tn turn make it possible for them to favor
the Town with the placing of the spoilage to
the best advantage. That the Town would thus
secure without cost, a built up river front that
other Cities and Towns had had to pay hundreds
of thousands of dollars for.
Mayor Renwick appointed a Committee , com-
posed of Ex-Mayor E.A.Lembeck, Ex Mayor W.T.
Goodyear and Councilman H.P.1ilkinson to secure
the necessary deeds from property owners with
whom they could get in touch, and after a general
discussion it was also decided that the Clerk
would, with the Mayors Assistance , endeavor to
secure deeds from out of town owners, by mail.
The Clerk was also directed to write Col.
Frazier in Jacksonville, immediately for a supply
of the necessary forms together with such infor-
mation as would facilitate the handling of them,
placing the forms in the hands of the Committee
as soon as received.
Mr.E.A.Ely stated that he and others had
come before the Council to secure some informat-
ion relative the budget, but that the minutes of
the meeting had furnished him the information he
desired. Information concerning the amendment to
Ordinance 1o.29 was asked for and Attorney Rasco
explained that the only change made was in section
9, where the word "prior" occurs in the original
Ordinance, had been changed to read " on or before"
in order to complg with the State Law covering
general elections.
ADJOURNMENT:
Motion by Councilman H.P .`Ji.lkinson, seconded by
Councilman J.J.Francis, that the Council adjourn
