NEW BUSINESS :
R.R.Shellenberger asked Council for perission
to move a tree that was dying, from the street
at the corner of the V.I .A. Hall. Permission was
granted with the understanding that the stump
would be cut low enough in the ground to D7)revent
any danger to cars striking it.
E.A.El.y asked if there was any objections to
his planting trees or shrubbery in front of
his home , in the street. After discussion and
an examination of the map of Hubbell Street
which shows the street to be sixty feet wide, .
permission was granted Mr,Ely, with the request
that the location of such trees and shrubbery
be not more than ten feet from the curb, allow-
ing a five foot walkway from the outer edge of
the street line to the curb.
The matter of business licenses was brought
bef3.re the Council, in an opinion rendered by
Attorney Rasco. After a general discussion the
•
Council decided to postpone action until Mayor
Renwick could be present, and Councilman J.J.
Francis moved that adjournment be taken until
8 Oclock P.M. February 2nd 1933. The :'otion was
seconded by Councilman H.P .Wilkinson and council
adjourned until 8 Oclock P .M. Feb 2nd 1933.
