MINUTES OF REGULAR ";FETING OP THE TOWN COUNCIL
TOWN OF EDGEWATER ,VOLUSIA COUNTY,FLORIDA,IELD
IN THE V. I.A. HALL, WEDNESDAY AUGUST 2nd. A.D. 1933-
MEETING called to Order at 7 :30 O'clock P.M. by Mayor
F.R.Renwick, with the following officers and members
present :

Council: iman J. J.Francis ,
Clerk, R.C.Fuller,
Attorney G.O.Rasco.
Members absent: H. P.Wilkinson, on vacation.
MINUTES of regular meeting held ,+Vednesday July 19th 1933 ,
were , on MOTION by Counci lman J. J.Francis , seconded by
Councilman F.R.Renwick , approved as read . Motion carried .
COMMUNICATIONS :
Letter from F.E.C.Ry, Supt. A. I. Pooser, dated
July 27th , under his file 76-Edgewater, was read and after
discussion, Mayor Renwick stated that he had been able to
secure the services of Railroad Surveyor , without charge to
the Tom , to survey the ditch under discussion and to wh iah
Mr.Pooser referred in his letter. No further action taken on
the communication.
Letter from Marcus C .Fagg, Federal Relief Admin-
istrator, calling attention to the necessity for the Town ba
meet to some extent, Federal Funds used to provide relief far
the unemployed, was read . Letter was referred to Attorney Rasco
with the information that Edgewater makes its charity donations
through the New Smyrna Community Chest, and that therefore Eh ould
be included in the New Smyrna relief territory.

Motion by J.J. Francis seconded by Coll, c ilea n
F.R.Renwick , that the above na.med bills be ordered paid from the
proper funds and accounts. Motion unanimously carried.
MOTION by J.J.Francis , seconded by Councilman
F.R.Renwick , that bill of Hill Dredging Company of $5,030.00
be tabled pending investigation of members of the Council and
its Attorney , of means to secure funds to meet the obligation
with. Motion carried.
BILL of Attorney Ha sac , far $370.00, covering
special services rendered in connection with the securing of
and placing of spoils along riverfront, was read by Clerk, aril
MOTION by J.J.Franc is , seconded by Councilman P.R.Renwick , that
the bill be approved as read and that Clerk be authorized and
instructed to pay G. O.Raseo, the amount of $100.00 on account
of said bill, Payment to be made from the Permanent Improvement
fund . Moti on unanimously carried.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS :
Clerk read Reports of Cash Receipts and
Disbursemihnts, and Budget Statement for the month of July 1933.
Motion by Councilman J.J. Francis seconded by Councilman F.R.Renwick

Town of Edgewater, Fla . , held Wednesday August 2 1933.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS :
Councilman J.J. Francis introduced the following
Resolution; and moved its adoption. The motion seconded by Counci lr&n
F.R.Renwick , and carried.
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Town Council oz the Town of "dgewater
authorized Mayor Renwick, or Edgewater , to sell and
dispose of a certain Chemical Cart , used as a fire
extinguisher, for the sum of seventy-rive (475.00)
dollars, cash in hand; and,
WHEREAS, the said Mayor Renwick , did sell and dispose
of the said Chemical Cart , For the said sum or seven-
tyfive (75.00) dollars , and now retains and holds
the said sum; and,
WHEHEAS, the said sum ot seventy-hive (475.00) dollars
is unexpected revenue , but was obtained by the sale of
a permanent improvement , to wit: a Onemical Cart , used
as a tire extinguisher; and,
WHEREAS, the Town Council ot the Town or Edgewater,
after due consideration , has reached the conclusion that
as the said seventy-ffive ($75.00) dollars was obtained
from the sale of a permanent improvement , said seventy-
five (475.00) dollars should be deposited in the Per-
manent improvement fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, :3E IT RESOLVED that the sum or seventy-
five (: 75,00) dollars, received xrom the sale of one
Chemical Cart , used as a fire extinguisher , be deposited
with the Treasurer of the Town of Edgewater and accredi-
ted to the Permanent Improvement Fund.

MEETING called to order by Councilman- F.R.Renwick , Chairnan,
with the following members present :

Clerk R.C.Fuller, Attorney G.O.Rasco.
Minutes of meeting held Wednesday July 19th 1933 were, on
MOTION by Counc limn J. J.Frnncia , seconded by Councilman
F.R.Renwick, approved, as read.
Clerk-Assessor R- -C.Fuller advised the Board that Assessments of
Public Service Corporations by the State Comptroller had not yet
been received and that the Tax Assessment Roll for 1933 had there-
fore not been completed .
Motion by Counci imam J•J.Franc is , seconded by Counci lman F.R.
Renwick, t o adjourn until 7 :30 O' clock F.M. August 16th.. 1933.
