MEETING called to order at 7:30 O' clock P .M. by Mayor F.R.Renwick, with the following members and officers present: Mayor-Councilman, F.R.Renwick, Councilman J.J.Francis , Councilman H.P. F;ilkinson; Clerk, R.C .Fuller Attorney G.O .Rasco. MINUTES of regular meeting held Wednesday September 6th A.D . 1933, were on MOTION by Councilman H.P . ilkinson, seconded by Councilman J.J.Francis , approved as read. Motion carried. BILLS AND ACCOUNTS: Clerk read the following bills: New :3myrna Hardware Co. , U 23.94 Motion by Councilman H. ' .Milkinson seconded by Councilman J.J.Francis ,that the above named bills be ordered paid as read. Motion unanimously carried. REPORTS OF OFFICERS : MOTION by Councilman H.P .':;ilkinson, seconded by Councilman J.J.Francis, to acceptd the resignation of H .B .Ashcraft, as Town Marshall, effective September 11th 1933. Motion carried. • Mayor F.R.Renwick, stated le wished to appoint 7.1r.T.J. Mullen, as Town Marshall to serve without pay, except for the usual fee' s allowed, for making arrests etc. , MOTION by Councilman H.P .Wilkinson, seconded by Councilman J.J.Francis ,that the appointment, by the Mayor, of Mr.T.J. Mullen as Marshall be approved. Motion unanimously carried. Mayor Renwick reported that under agreement with the State Highway Department that 573.0 cubic yards of sand had been furnished the State Highway Department by the Town, and that the State Highway department was now ready to exchange oyster shell for the sand on basis of the contract. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: LOTION by Councilman J.J.Francis, seconded by Councilman H.P. ilkinson, that Budget as submitted totalling $4,445.00 be adopted. Motion unanimously carried. ORDINANCES: Motion by Councilman J.J.Francis, seconded by Councilman H.P .W-ilkinson, that Ordinance Number 48, entitled "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE RATE OF TAXATION OF ALL PROPS ERTY, BOTH REAL AND PERSONAL, IN THE TOV.N OF EDGEWAT M,VOLU3IA COUNTY, FLORIDA" , be passed to the second and final reading and become a law two days after posting. MOTION by Councilman H.P . . ilkinson,seconcied by Councilman J.J.Francis , to authorize the Clerk to procure 12 printed cards Instructions to voters" , also twice the nukmber of Official Ballots 'as shown by the list of registered voters.
