Meeting was called to order at 7:50 PM by councilman H.P. Wilkinson. ROLL CALL, Mayor-councilman F.R. Renwick Absent Counci]man H.P. Wilkinson Present Councilman E.A. Ely Present Clerk, E.T .' Lohman Present Attorney, G.O. Rasco Present Moved by Councilman E.A. Ely that a Mayor-Pro-tem be elected to fill Mayor Renwick's vacansy to approve 1933 Tax Roll Assessment , seconded by Councilman H.P. Wilkinson. councilman E.A. Ely nominated Councilman H.P. Wilkinson to serve as Mayor Pro-tem, seconded by Councilman H.P. Wilkinson. Mation carried. Minutes of regular meeting of the Town Council held November 15th, 1933 were read and approved. Minutes of Special Meeting held }November 13th, 1933 were read on suggestion of Councilman E.A. Ely, he stating that requests had been made from tax payers to have these minites read. Mr. W.H. Beckwith asked ,question why time warrants were issued to the Hill Dredging Co., when two elections were held on this question and each election failed to carry. Mt. A.B. Wilkinson asked the chair if Mr. Beckwith was not out of order. Attorney Rasco said this was not the time for open discussion, but that if tax payers -would call at his office, he would be glad to explain why the time warrants were issued. BILLS AND ACCOUNTS. Clerk read following bills , U.S. Fidelity Co. , 440.00 premium on Clerk's bond. E.H. Lohman, stamps, 40:99. Motion made by Councilman E.A. Ely seconded by Councilman H.P. Wilkinson that same be paid. Motion carried. Attorney G.O. Rasco stated he should be paid 4100.00 retainer fee for defending court injunction suits that had just come up relative to setting aside the 1933 tax roll, and that the Town had won two arguments. Councilman E.A. 21y said he would not act on this bill, and suggested that it be held over until Mayor F.R. Renwick returned to which Attorney Rasco consented. UNFINISHED BUSINESS. Councilman E. . TEly reported bridge on road ti.:est of Dixie Highway should be repaired by using cross ties. Mayor Pro-tem 7.P. Wilkinson advised Councilman E.A. Ely to have same repaired. NEW BUSINESS. Councilman E.A. Ely moved that 1933 Tax Roll be appro- ved and books declared open for tax collections effective December 6th 1933, seconded by Councilman H.P. Wilkinson. Motion carried. Motion made by Mayor Pro-tern H.P. Wilkinson to have 1933 tax roll bound, also to purchase a minute book, seconded by Councilman E.A. Ely. Motion carried and clerk was instructed to proceed accordingly. Motion made by Mayor Pro-tem H.P. 'Wilkinson that discounts t on tax xollections be made as follows; 4% discount if paid on or before January 6th 1934; 2,,g discount if paid on or before February 6th, 1934 and l discount if paid on or before March 6th 1934, seconded by Councilman E.A.
