Meeting wascalled to order by Mayor-Councilman F. R. Renwick at 7:45 P. M. ROLL CALL Mayor-Councilman F. R. Renwick Present Councilman H. P. Wilkinson Present Councilman E. A. Ely Present Clerk E. H. Lohman Present Attorney G. 0. Rasco Present READING OF MINUTES Minutes of the regular meeting of the Town Council held February 21st, 1934 were read and approved on motion made by Councilman H. P. Wilkinson, seconded by Councilman E. A. Ely. COMMUNICATIONS None. BILLS & ACCOUNTS A Clerk read following bills; City of New Smyrna, Florida $2.00 for lights for V. I. A. Hall for the Month of February, x;1:50 for postage stamps purchased from personal funds of E. H. Lohman. Motion made by Councilman H. P. Wilkinson, and seconded by Councilman E. A. Ely that above bills be paid and Clerk instructed to issue warrants for same. A Following checks disbursed; F. R. Renwick-Mayor Councilman X2.00 H. P. Wilkinson Councilman p2:0Q, E. A. Ely Councilman . 2.00 for M attendance at regular February council meetings, E. H. Lohman 40.00 for February salary as Town Clerk. REPORTS OF OF.nCERS. Clerk read monthly budget report and cash statement, which was received and ordered made a part of these minutes on motion made by Councilman H. P. Wilkinson, seconded by Councilman E.A.Ely. Town Attorney G. 0. Rasco reported that he had filed a demurrer in the Hill Dredging Corporation case, and stated that in his opinion same would be set down for argument within a few days, and that he was defending the Town, in the suit , to the best of his ability. REPORTS OF COT.MITTEES. None. ORDINANCES. None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS. None. NEW BUSINESS. Mayor-Councilman F.R.Renwick stated that he had received a complaint that the bridge which crosses the Canal at Knapp Ave. West of Dixie Highway had been removed. That he had made arrange- ments with the F.E.C. Railway for switch ties with which to re- construct the bridge and that he thought best to defer other con- struction until the switch ties had been received. An old automobile wreck was reported as lying on Dixie Highway South of Park Avenue and it was decided to get in touch with the officials of the State Road Department to have same removed as it was on the right-of-way of Florida State Road No. 4. • MINUTES OF REGULAR M1]ETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA HELD IN THE V.I .A. HALL WEDNESDAY MARCH 7, 1934 (PAGE 2) MISCELLANEOUS. Mr. G. A. Gonyeau presented a petition to the Clerk, with fifty three signatures , commending the members of the Town Council and the Town Attorney for the faithful and careful manner in which they have performed their duties, and the sound judgement they have exercised, and for the untiring efforts in promoting the best interests of the Twin. Mayor-Councilman F. R. Renwick stated that as a member of the Town Council he wished to thank the signers of the petition for their pledge of support and co-operation. On motion made by Councilman H. P . Wilkinson, seconded by Councilman E. A. Ely, the petition was ordered made a part of the minutes of this meeting. There being no further business it was moved by Council- man H. P. Wilkinson and seconded by Councilman E. A. Ely that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried and meeting adjourned at 8:25P. M.
