MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER VOLUSIA COUNTY FLORIDA
HELD IN THE V.I .A. HALL OCTOBER 17 , 1934.
Meeting was &ailed to order by Mayor-Councilman F.R.Renwick
at 7:40 P.M.

READING OF MINUTES
T: nutes of meeting held October 3rd were read and approved
on motion made by Councilman E.A.Ely, seconded by Mayor-Councilman
F.R.Renwick.

Clerk read letters from All Florida Protective Association
and Thomas E. Grady of the Interstate Commission, and clerk was
ordered to file same upon motion made by Councilman E.A.Ely
seconded by Councilman H.P.Wilkinson.
BILLS AND ACCOUNTS.
Following bills were re7d by clerk; S.J.Colee ;1..50 for
repairs to mowing machine; New Smyrna News 25for binding
delinquent tax list. Bills were approved and ordered paid upon
motion made by Councilman E.A.Ely seconded by Councilman H.P.
Wilinson.Attorney G.O.Rasco reported that he had been to
Jacksonville to defend the Town in the Hill Dredging Company
suit stating that no decision had been reached but that one in
favor of the Town was anticipated, and asked for the Council to
allow him an additional $50.00 retainer fee, that previously he
had received ,j 50.00 and thr-t he had originally requested ;; 100.00
and only received $50.00 Mayor-Councilman F.R.Renwick moved
that warrant in the amount 16$ $ O0 be drawn on the Permanent
Improvement Fund to complete theetainer fee as originally
requested, in the Hill Dredging Company versus Town of Edgewater
Suit. Motion seconded by Councilman H.P.Wilkinson and warrant
90 was drawn in payment thereof.
REPORT OF SPECIAL CO11 TTEE
Mayor-Councilman F.R.Renwick reported that two bridges on
Park Avenue were in bad condition and they were repaired.
RESOLUTIONS
Resolution for the purpose of cancelling $44000 time
warrants in favor of the Hill Dredging Company was presented by
Councilman H.P.Wilkinson who moved that the Clerk cancel same,
motion seconded by Councilman E. A.Ely. Instruction were issued
to Clerk to cancel the time warrants.

NEW BUSINESS
Petitions for two candidates namely C.D.Bartlett for
Councilman, and E.H.Lohman for Clerk were presented and ordered
filed with Clerk.
Motion was made by Councilman H. P.Wilkinson that Wm. Martin
White , representing Wm. 0. Gentry, CPA, be employed to audit
Town books at a cost not to exceed ` 100.00. Motion sedonded
by Councilman E.A.Ely.
No further business to come before the meeting Councilman
E.A.Ely moved that meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman
H.P.Wilkinson. Meeting adjourned at 10:20 P.M.
