Lohman Pre sen t Attorneys Smith & Fuller Present READING OF MINUTES Minutes of regular meeting held September 4th and adjourned meeting held September 18th, were read , and approved as read upon motion made by Councilman C . D. Bartlett , seconded by Mayor-Councilman E. A. Ely. BILLS & ACCOUNTS Following bills were presented; 2Au1 Bremer, street labor 32 hours at 20¢ per hour $6:40; H.A.Moore 24 hours at 20V per hour $4.`80; H.G.Smith 24 hours at 20' per hour 4.80ti H.C.Colee l .00' repairing mowing machine. Motion was made by Councilman C .D.Bartlett , seconded by Mavor-Councilman E.A.Ely , that bills be paid as read. Warrants 1704 to 1707 inclusive were issued for the above . ORDINANCES Ordinance No. 56 was read and passed upon it 's first reading and upon motion made by Councilman C .D.Bartlett , seconded by Mayor Councilman E. A. Elv, the requirement of reading this ordinance upon it ' s second reading waived, and the ordinance was ordere Put upon it ' s final pa.,sage upon a roll call vote . Florida for the year beginning October 1st , A. D. 1935 and ending September 30, A. D. 1936 was made upon movement by Councilman C.D.Bartlett seconded by Mayor-Councilman E.A.Elv and upon roll call the vote of the Council was as follows: Mayor-Coincilman E.A.Elv Yes Councilman C.D.Bartlett Yes Council man H.P.Wilkinson Absent I (2) UNFINISHED BUSINESS CONCTDED Unon motion made by Mayor-Councilman E.A.Ely seconded by Cou cilman C.D.BArtlett the attached resolution was adopted requesting the aid of Governor Sholt7, in securing the assistance of the Works Progress Administr^ti on in making the Strand Boulevard a paved road . Upon motion of Counc ilm?n C.D.BArtle tt seconded by M'vsr- Councilmen E.A.Ely, the following names were ordered to be stricken from the registration book of the Town of Edgwwater Volusia County, Florida , for the reason that they are known to the satisfaction of the Council to be deceased , to have ceased to reside in the Town of Edgewater, or to be otherwise d isoualif ied C.A.Ashcraft A.C.Archer Mary E. Enclosed please find a resolution passed at our re;_;u2.ar Council meeting held September 19th, 1935, asking your co-operation in tryina to help this Town of Edgewater in securing a road on the Eastern boundary of our incornoration, this road is in very bad condition, and ha's •oeen since the Government deepened the channel of the Madian The soeilage was pumped onto the road which mair.es it nearly impossible to use. Our *lepresentetive, Caspian Hale is well acquainted with the conditions here and 1 feel should you desire to question him, he could enlighten you.
