Meeting was called to order at 8:00 P. M. Roll Call Mayor-Councilman U. D. Bartlett Present Councilman H. L. Haughton Present Councilman Ralph Adams Present Attorney Allen Smith Present Clerk Walter C. Fuller Present Reading; of Minutes_ Meting of February 2nd , s. Mr. Haughton moved that the minutes be a . proved read. Seconded by Mr. Adams and upon vote declared carried. communications A letter was read from the Florida Chamber of commerce. A letter of application for appointment as Town Attorney for the ensuing year was read from J. U. Gillespie. Bills Werden' s Signery-Painting Bulletin Board w 3.00 'telephone co.-Installing Telephone in Marshall' s House Total cost X6.26 * paid by Town 3.13 H. G. Smith-Fire call 1.00 P. L. Perterson-Hauling Shell-12 hrs. 6.00 Paul Brewer-Labor on Streets -10 hrs. 2.00 Robert E. Fuller-Tractor - 7 hrs. 3.50 H. M. Harbin. Jr.-Cleaning Town Lots-6* hrs. 1.30 W. C. Stuart-Labor on Strand-9 hrs. 1.80 H. D. Harris-Gasoline 3.77 Mr. Haughton moved that the bills be paid as read, seconded by Mr. Adams. Upon Vote declared carried. Ordinances Ordinance x; 65 entitled "An Ordinance creating and Establishing A Volunteer Fire Department in the 'sown of Edgewater, rlorida; providing for the Duties and Powers , Rules and rtegulating of said Fire Department and for the compensation of the members and Personnel of said Fire Department, was read. Upon motion by Councilman H. L. Haughton seconded by Ralph Adams , the ordinance was passed upon its first reading. Upon motion by Councilman Adams seconded by Mr. Haughton, the requirement of reading the Ordinance upon second. ' reading was waived and the Ordinance was put upon Final Passage. Passed upon Final Passage , the vote being as follows: Mayor-Councilman c . D. Bartlett Yes Councilman Ii. L. Haughton ies councilman Ralph Adams Yes New Business Moved that the Town proceed with the cleaning of lots in accordance with ordinance 04, and located between Dixie Highway and Strand Lamont Street on the South and Evergreen on the North. Also the district bounded by Palmway on the forth, New Hampshire on the South and between Dixie Highway and the Strand. This motion was made by Mr. Adams , seconded by Mr. Haughton and upon vote declared carried. It was moved by Mr. Adams, seconded by Mr. Haughton that the Clerk write a letter of Thanks to all the property owners who cooperated with council in the cleaning up of lots. This motion was declared carried. It was moved by Mr. Haughton, seconded by Mr. Adams that we do now adjourn. Time 8:55P. M. Carried.
