PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR AN ANNUAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
NOVEMBER 2nd, 1937, AND TO RECEIVE THE PETITIONS OF CANDIDATES .

A Resolution entitled n A RESOLUTION ORDERING AN ANNUAL. ELECTION TO BE
BE HELD IN THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, IN TEE YEAR A.D. 1937; PRE-
SCRIBING THE 'AIM AND PLAGE FOR HOLDING SUCH ELECTION; PRESCRIBING THE
RULES BY WHIC1-L ELECTION SHALL BE GOVERNED; PRESCRBING THE TIM THE POLLS
SHALL BE OPENED AND CLOSED; MD PROVIDING FOR NOTICES OF SUCH ELECTION. K
was read in full.
It was moved bybCouncilman hauzhton, seconded by councilman Bartlett.,
that the resolution be adapted and be made a part of the minutes of this
meeting. The vote of the uouncil upon the motion was as follows ;
Layor councilman C .D.Bartlett zes.
councilman h.L.Haughton Yes.
. A petition requesting that. the name of C.B.Bartlett be placed on the
ballot as a candidate for the office of gown Councilman was received,
checked and found to be signed by the required number of qualified
electors. It was duly moved, by councilman riaughton, seconded by council-
man Bartlett, that the petition be accepted and the name of u.D.Bartlett be
placed on the ballot. Carried.
A petition requesting that the name of Walter u. Fuller be placed on the
ballot as a candidate for the office of Town Clerk was received, checked
and found to be signed by the required number of qualified electors.
It was duly movedtby councilman haughton, seconded by councilman Bartlett,
that the petition be accepted and the name of :,alter c . Fuller be placed
on the ballot. Carried.
Councilman haughton moved that the Town Clerk be instructed to have 500
ballots and 200 sample ballots printed for the general Election to be
held November 2nd, 1937, with the names of the respective candidates printed
thereon whose petitions have been accepted at this meeting. aeconded by i
councilman Bartlett and upon Vote declared CARRIED.
Councilman riaughton moved that the clerk have printed 500 Ballots and 200
speciman ballots for the special referendum election to be held Nov. 2,nd.
seconded by councilman Bartlett and by vote declared. CARRIED.
It was moved by Councilman haughton, seconded by councilman Bartlett , that
we do now adjourn. CARRID. Time 8:53 P.M.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION.
Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of
Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, under and by virtue of the
authority vested in it by the laws of the State of Florida and
the Ordinances of the Town of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida,
has ordered an annual election to be held on Tuesday, the Second
day of November, A. D. 1937, at the Town Hall (otherwise known
as the Community or V. I. A. Hall) for the purpose of electing
one Councilman for a term of three years and for a Town Clerk
for a term of one year, or until his or their successors are
duly elected and qualified. The polls will open at 8:00 o ' clock
A. M. and will close at sun—down, Eastern Standard Tif_e, on the
day of the said Election. Said election shall be held in sub-
stantial conformity with the rules applicable to general elec-
tions held under the laws of the State of Florida and subject
to the Ordinances of the Town of Edgewater, Florida.

annual election aa ordered by the Town Council of the Town of
