READING OF =TES .
The minutes of the regular .meting of February 1st , 1938- were read
and upon motion made by Councilman Bartlett, duly seconded by Council-
man Adams, were approved as read. CARRIED.

Upon motion by Councilman Bartlett , seconded by Councilman Adams the
Bills were approved as read and ordered paid. CARRIED.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS .
Attorney Gillespie reporting on the matter of .elects 40 the '::est end of
Evergreen Street said that he had confered with Mr. John De Berry and that
M.r. De Berry owas willing to deed to the Town his share of the Street. The
Clerk was instructed to check up the balance of the Street as it relates to
Lot 11 G.Alvarez Grant and report to Council.
Marshall Swann reported a bridge badly damaged on ighland Ave. in
Highland Shores Sub. He was ordered to have this bridge repaired.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS .
The matter of Electric Franchise asked by the City of New Smyrna ':each
was further discussed and by unanimous consent was continued until the next
meeting; of Council.
Councilman Adams moved that the Clerk be authorized to purchase one four
drawer verticalleR:al size filing cabient at a cost of :,16.26 P.0 .3 . New
Smyrna Beach, seconded by Councilman Bartlett , and by vote declared CARRIED.

= BUSINESS .
Councilman Bartlett moved that Marshall Swann be authorized to purchase
one thousand board feet of heart Cypress or Pine of a size 3" by 6" and
12' to 14' long, and one keg of 40d Gal. spikes. Seconded by Councilman
Adams and by vote declared CARRIED.
By unanimous consent Marshall Swann was ordered to purchase paint and
have the Town' s Road Scraper or Grader painted,
By unanimous consent , Marshall Swann was instructed to disc Fire Lanes
on Fernald Strret and to the West of the Community Church.
t. Parmalee requested permission to remove tree in front of his Home.
By unanimous consent, Councilman Bartlett was appointed a committee of one
with power to act.
Councilman Adams moved that Attorney Gillespie be instructed to prepare
an Ordinance for the government of the Town to replace one now in force and
which present Ordinance is incomplete as it relates to the present Town
Organization,seconded by Councilman Bartlett. , and by vote declared CARRIED,
Councilman Adams moved that we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman
Bartlett and by vote declared CARRIED. Time 8: 54 P .M.
