REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL, OF THE TOWN OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, HELD IN V.I .A. HALL ON APRIL 19th, 193a.
Fleeting called to order at 7:35 P. M. by Mayor Councilman H.L.Haughton.

READING OF MINUTES .
The minutes of the regular meeting of April. 5th, 1938 were read and by
motion made by Councilman Adams, Secondedby Councilman Bartlett, were.
approved as read. CARRIED.

Councilman Bartlett moved that these bills be approved and paid as
read, seconded by Councilman Adams, and by vote declared CARRIED,
REPORTS OF 01+'Yi CERS.
Attorney Gillespie reported that he had not received any communication
from Mrs. Olive Parker in reply to his letter.He also reported that a
letter had been written the T.V.R. in accordance with Council' s in-
structions.
The Clerk reported on information gathered in reference to the complaint
from Mr. Day.
Communications.
A letter dated Apr. 19th, 1938 applying for re—employment as Town Attorney
was read. This letter was signed by J.U.Gillespie.
ORDINANCES .
Attorney Gillespie reported that he would have the revised Code ready for
the consideration of Council during the week of April 25th 1938.
It was agreed that a meeting be held on Thrusday April 28th, 1938 at
8 P.M. to consider this Code.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS.
By ununamous consent Clerk 1.'alter C.Fuller was instructed to inform
Mr. Y'.T .Day that his complaint does not come umier the Public Nuisance
Ordinance.
By unanimous consent Attorney Gillespie was ins trtetedt to. see Mr. Robert
Fee about the width of Evergreen Street at the west end.
NEW BUSINESS .
Councilman Adams moved that the Town of Edgewater retaih Mr. T.U.Gillespie
as Town Attorney for the year May 1st, 1936 to May 1st , 1939 the salary
to be the same as the past year, i.e. $100.00 as a retainer and $150.00
in Fees payable in four equal payments, that is $37.50 on May 1st, and tie
same amount on August 1st, November 1st, and on February 1st. Seconded
by Councilman Bartlett and by vote declared CARRIED.
Councilman Bartlett moved that we do now adjourn, seconded by CouncilmanA
Adams and by vote declared CARRIED. Time 8:10 P .I .
