COMMUNICATIONS the Clerk read a letter from J. B. Bivings , dated October 10th, 1938, asking that Orange Avenue be opened from the Strand to the Highway. NEW' BUSINESS Pentland and Robertson presented the Annual Audit Report of the Towns Books entitled "Report of EXAMINATION OCTOBER 1, 1937 TO SEPTEMBER 30 , 1938 TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. " by reading the report in full. Councilman Adams moved that the report be accepted and made a part of these minutes , seconded by Councilman Haughton and by vote declared CARRIED. A Resolution entitled " A RESOLUTION ORDERING AN ANNUAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, IN THE YEAR A. D. 1938; PRE- SCRIBING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HOLDING SUCH ELECTION; PRESCRIBING THE RULES BY WHICH SUCH ELECTION SHALL BE GOVERENED; PRESCRIBING THE TINE THE POLLS SHALL BE OPENED MID CLOSED; AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICES OF SUCH ELECTION. D. 1938. It was moved by Councilman Adams , seconded by Councilman Haughton, that the resolution be adopted and be made a part of the minutes of this meet- ing. The vote of the Council upon the motion was as follows: Mayor Councilman H. L. Haughton Yes Councilman Ralph Adams Yes. By mutual consent of council the Mayor and the Marshall were to look over Orange Avenue and estimate the cost of opening it from the Strand to the Highway.
