REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, HELD IIv V.I .A. HALL
ON FEBRUARY 21, 19 39.
Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Councilman Ralph Adams.

READING OF MINUTES .
The minutes of the meeting of February 8th, 1R39 were read and upon aa
motion made by Councilman Bartlett, . seconded by Councilman Adams ,
were approved as read. By vote the motion was declared CARRIED.
BILLS MID ACCOUNTS .
The Clerk read the following bills;

With Tractor
Councilman Bartlett moved that the bills be paid as read with the
exception of the one for A.M.Gibson $3.00 wM ch should be paid by
the Marshall. There being no second to this motion it was declared
lost.
Mayor Adams surrendered the Chair to Vice-Mayor Bartlett and moved
that the Bills be all paid as read , there being no sceond to this
motion it was declared lost.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS .
Attorney Gillespie reported that it was not necessary that the Town
make any report in connection with the notice received from the State
of Georgia , Department of Unemployment Insurance.
Communications.
A letter from Hannah Lewis dated Feb. 14th and ane from E.L.Squire
dated Feb. 9th were by unanimous consent tefered to Attorney
Gillespie for handling. A letter from James V. Doyle , Deputy County
Clerk in reference to the compensation required for the use by
Cities of Voting Machines was ordered filed.

NEW BUSINESS .
After hearing the committee' s report on the survey made of the new
street signs necessary and considering the costs of wood and concrete
posts , Councilman Bartlett moved that the Committee be authorized to
purchase 40 Concrete Posts with painted wood signs and have same
erected in place for a sum not to exceed $96.00, seconded by Councilman
Adams and by vote declared CARRIED.
MISSCELL.ANEOUS .
Councilman Bartlett moved that all the bills read be paid except that
of A.M.Gibson for $3.00 which should be held until the next meeting of
Council, seconded by Councilman Adams , and try vote declared CARRIED.
Councilman Bartlett moved that we do now adjourn until March 7, 1939
at 7:30 P .M. , seconded by Councilman Adams and by vote declared CARRIED,
