Meeting called to order at 7:30 P .M. by Mayor Councilman Ralph Adams. ROLL CALL. Mayor Councilman. Ralph Adams. Present. Councilman . C .D.-Bartlett. Present. councilman F.H.Renwick. Present. Clerk Walter C.Fuller.Present. Attorney J.U.Gillespie. Present. Marshall Horace King. Present. READING OF MINUTES . . The minutes of the meeting of July 19 , 1939 were read. Councilman Bartlett moved that they be approved as read, seconded by Councilman Renwick, and. by vote declared CARRIED. COCTNI CATI ONS . Letters were read from The Standard Oil Company and theTexaco Oil Company giving their valuations on their properties located in Edgewater. UNFINISHED BUSINESS. The protested valuations as set on the properties of W.E.Hardiman and the Industrial Marine Co. were then taken under consideration and discussed at lenght. Councilman Renwick moved that the valuations as placed on the Assessment Roll were just and equitible for the property described as Lots 1 to 18 Inclusive Block 2 Hawks Sub. of G.Alvarez Grant assessed to the Industrial Marine Co. and for the property described as Lots 60, 61, 62, 63 and the South 89' of lots 64 and 65, Fernald and Chadwick replat of Hawks Park Land Co. Sub. , assessed to W.E .Hardirnan, seconded by Councilman Bartlett and by vote declared unanimously CARRIED. NEW BUSINESS. Mr. E.H.Lohman appeared before the Board to protest against the valuation fixed on Lot 1-A Palmetto Park Sub. After considerable discussion as to the value of a triangularshaped lot the long side of which was along the Highway and the shortest side along the Canal bank Councilman Bartlett moved that the valuation of Lot 1-A Palmetto Park assessed to E .H.Lohman be fixed at 430.00 , seconded by Councilman Adams and by vote declared CARRIED. Councilman Bartlett moved that=the assessed values as set by the Town Tax Assessor for the properties of the Texaco Oil Company and for the Standard Oil Company are just and equitible and are hereby approved and confirmed, seconded by Councilman Renwick and by vote declared unanimously CARRIED. Councilman Bartlett moved that we do now adjourn to meet upon notifaction by the Clerk when he has received the State Comptrollers figures for the Pullman Company, seconded by Councilman Renwick and by vote declared CARRIED.
