ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL ACTING AS
A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION, HELD IN V. I . A. HALL
ON SEPTEMBER 21, 19 39.
Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Councilman Ralph Adams.

READING Or MINUTES,
After a reading of the minutes of the board of Equalization held on Sept.
4th, 1939, Councilman Bartlett moved that these minutes be approved as
read , seconded by Councilman Renwick and by vote declared CARRIED.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS .
Clerk Fuller reported that the assessed valuations for nthe Pullman Co. had
been received and entered on the assessment roll, also thktthe revised
valuations for the American telephone and Telegraph Company and the Southern
Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company had been entered on the Assessment Roll
He also advised that Lot 30 Sec. 2 Block B , Highland Shores Sub. had not
been assessed since the year 1930 and that the Certified Copy of the High-
land Shores Plat Section 2 did not show this Lot as a Street, the reason
given for its non-assessment in 1931 and that he therefore had placed it back
on the assessment roll for 1939,
Whereupon a Resolution was read entitled, "' RESOLUTION ADOPTING TAX ASSESS-
MENT ROLL FOR THE YEAR OF 1939.""
Councilman Renwick moved the adoption of the resolution, seconded by Council-
man Bartlett and passtcl unanimously the vote of the Council being as follows;
Mayor Councilman. Ralph Adams. Yes.
Councilman, C.D.Bartlett. Yes .
Councilman. F.R.Renwick. Yes.
There being no further business to come before the Board, it was moved by
Councilman Bartlett that we do now adjourn sine die, seconded by Councilman
tenwick and by vote declared unanimously CARRIED. Time 7:48
