CALL FOR MEETING.
The Clerk read the notice in full giving the purpose of the meeting.
Councilman .Bartlett moved that this notice be approved and be made a
part of these minutes , seconded by Councilman Goodyear and by vote
declared unanimously CARRIED.

The Clerk read in full Mrs . Josephine 2:ason Shepperson' s letter of June
27, 1940 requesting a lower assessment on Lot 31, Ass' rs Sub. of G.
Alvarez Grant, Sec. 52, Twp. 17 , S .R.34E. Action was defered until the
meeting of August 2 , 1940.
Yrs. Edith ",illet appeared before the Board requesting information relative
to the N. 50' of Lot 1, .ilkinson Sub. The information regarding Homestead
Exemption covering the increased valuation due to improvements on the
property was explained.
There being no further business Councilman Bartlett moved that we do now
adjourn, seconded by Councilman Goodyear and by vote declared CARRIED.

Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town
of Edgewater, Florida, will meet, with the Town Clerk of
said. Town, and sit as an EqualizationBoard at the Council
Chamber in the V.I .A. Hall, Edgewater, Florida, on Monday
the first day of July, 1940 , at the hour of 7:30 P.M. ,
for the purpose of hearing complaints and receiving testi-
mony as to the value of any property, real or personal, as
fixed by the Town Clerk of said Town, acting as Assessor
thereof, and for the purpose of perfecting, reviewing and
equalizing the said assessment, and that said Council will
continue in session for that purpose from day to day for one
week, or as long as shall be necessary, and that said Council
will meet on Monday August 5th and on Monday September 2nd
at the hour of 7:30 P.M. for the purposes as above defined
and for hearing appeals for Homestead Exceptions.
