REGULAR MEETING OP THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA, HELD IN V.I .A. HALL ON JULY 15, 1941.
Meeting called to order at 7:38 P .M. by Mayor Councilman F.R.Renwick.

READING OP MINUTES .
The minutes of the meeting of July 1 , 1941 were read whereupon Councilman
Southard moved that they be approved as read , seconded by Councilman
Renwick and by vote declared CARRIED.

Councilman Southard moved that the bills be approved, paid and be made a
part of the minutes , seconded by Councilman Aenwick and by vote declared
CARRIED.
REPORTS OP OFFICERS .
Attorney Gillespie reported on State Taxes on Lot 35 i3B , Ass' rs Sub. of G.
Alvarez Grant as relating to the lease of this lot, khat t'hecdNo Vaxes,
A report was made of correspondence regarding the Forster Ditch, and W.D.
Arnett being present advised that the :Ditch was obstructed by a dam near
the East end thereby effecting the drainage of water from his lands.
The Attorney also reported the receipt of a number of Right of `,,ay Contracts
for the drainage ditches , these contracts being signed by the owners of
properties thru which the ditch passed or abutted.
Marshall King reported.; Highland and Oakridge Ayes also Park Ave. needed
shell where washed out by recent heavy rains.
He raised the question as to the temporary bridge on Park Ave. test of the
F. .C.Right of ';'ay and was instructed to fix up the approaches to this tem-
porary bridge because of the fact that nothing was known at present just
what would have to be done at this point when ditch improvements were made.
'i'wo broken street sign posts were reported at Hamilton Drive and 'Yelcka Terr.
at the Strand.
The Clerk was requested to obtain prices on Concrete Street Sign Posts.
The Marshall was requested to look into a reported supply of shell .Bast of
the Strand and south of the Archambault Property.
The Marshall further reported that a considerable amount of water accumulated
at Park Ave. and the Highway on J.S .Bates property which caused a condition
dangerous to Public Health. After a considerable discussion as to grading
Park Ave. so to run this water towards the river it was decided to obtain a
price from an engineer for setting grade stakes and Mayor Renwick w ,s to .
obtain this information.
The Marshall adtsed that he would have his report complete by next meeting
on men to run the mower scythe.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS .
Councilm.n Southard moved that the Mayor and the Clerk be and they are here-
by authorized to sign the lease,for the use of lot 35 BB, Ass' rs Sub. of G.
Alvarez Grant for one year,with the owner, the F.E.Coast Railway and that tle
Town Taxes for the year 1941 be cancelled, seconded by Cou#cilman Renwick
and by vote declared CARRIED.
The Council requested the Attorney to draw a resolution changing the name of
the strand to RIVERSIDE DRIVE and change the name of Riverside Drive in
Section Two highland Shores Sub. to Bigelow Drive.
Misscellaneous Business.
Councilman Southard moved that the application of .C.Fuller to keep five .
hogs on the West center part of Lot 23 Ass' rs :pub. of G.Alvarez Grant be
granted , seconded by Councilman Renwick and by vote declared CARRIED.
Councilman Southard moved that we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman
Renwick and by vote declared CARRIED. Time 10:00 P.I.Q.
