The minutes of the meeting of August 4th, 1941 were read whereupon Council- man Southard moved that they be approved as corrected, seconded by Council- man Renwick and by vote declared CARRIED. NEW BUSINESS. ''The Clerk read a letter from Ylorence Hill Welsh dated August 29th, 1941 regarding Town Valuatioftsand Homestead Exemptions. The Clerk was instructed to answer the letter and advise that Homestead Exemptions were still in force and effect and that the County Tax Assessor made his own valuations and did not follow those set by the Town Assessor. Councilman Southard moved that the application of Mrs. Olive L.Bonavires for a disabillity Exemption be granted, seconded by Councilman Renwick and by vote declared CARRIED. The Clerk read a letter dated August 5th, 1941 from the State Comptrollers Office at Tallahassee in which it was advised that it was not known when the Railroad Assessments could be sent. Councilman Southard moved that we do now adjourn subject to call upon the receipt from the Comptrollers Office of his assessments , seconded by Council- man Renwick and by vote declared CARRIED.
