RESOLUTION 2004-R-07 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDGEW A TER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING BEACH DRIVING ON THE BEACHES OF VOLUSIA COUNTY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING RESOLUTIONS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Volusia County beaches are well-known for their beauty, spaciousness, and drivability; and WHEREAS, year after year, restrictions have been added which take away from our enjoyment of nature's gift to Volusia County; and WHEREAS, though many limitations have been imposed upon beach driving, we are grateful that it remains as an enjoyable, therapeutic, recreational activity for both residents and non-residents in V olusia County; and WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater supports the continuance of driving on the beaches of V olusia County. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida: Section 1: Support for Beach Driving. That the City of Edgewater supports continuance of beach driving on the beaches of Vol usia County. Section 2: Conflicting Resolutions. That all other resolutions or parts thereof that are in conflict with this resolution are hereby rescinded and repealed. Section 3: Effective Date.
