MINUTES
Call to Order, Roll Call
Mayor Thomas called the Special Meeting to order at 5: 00 p.m. in the
Council Chambers .

City Manager Tracey Barlow
City Clerk Bonnie Wenzel
City Attorney Aaron Wolfe
Excused Councilman Gene Emter
Absent Councilman Justin Kennedy
a. Resolution No. 2012-R-26: Accepting and adopting the results of
the November 6, 2012 Special Election.
Agenda Request
City Attorney Wolfe read Resolution 2012-R-26 into the record.
Mayor Thomas opened the public hearing.
Mayor Thomas welcomed Christine Power.
Councilman Ignasiak and Councilwoman Bennington congratulated Ms .
Power.
Councilwoman Bennington pointed out it was the easiest election she
ever had.
Mayor Thomas closed the public hearing.
Councilman Michael Ignasiak moved to approve Resolution No. 2012-R-26,
second by Councilwoman Gigi Bennington.
The MOTION CARRIED 3-0-0.

b. Oath for the Office of City Council District 1 taken by Christine
Power, as administered by the Honorable Shirley A. Green, Circuit
Court Judge.
c. Oath for the Office of City Council District 2 taken by Gigi
Bennington, as administered by the Honorable Shirley A. Green,
Circuit Court Judge.
Honorable Circuit Court Judge Shirley A. Green administered the Oath
of Office to Christine Power and Councilwoman Bennington, after which
they signed the oath.
d. Oath for the Office of City Council District 4 taken by Gene
Emter, as administered by the Honorable Shirley A. Green, Circuit
Court Judge.
Due to being unable to attend tonight, Councilman Emter was sworn in
prior to the meeting.
Adjournment
There being no further business to discuss, Mayor Thomas adjourned the
Special Meeting and went into the Special (Closed) Meeting.

Mayor Thomas stated there would be a closed, attorney-client session
between the City of Edgewater City Council and City Attorney that
would commence and those not authorized to attend would be asked to
leave the room during the course of the meeting. He expected the
closed session to take approximately one hour. The names of those in
attendance were as follows: Mayor Michael Thomas, Councilwoman

Christine Power, Councilwoman Gigi Bennington, Councilman Michael
Ignasiak, City Manager Tracey Barlow and City Attorney Aaron Wolfe.
Staff was not permitted in the closed attorney-client session. Upon
conclusion of the attorney-client session, the session would be
reopened.
City Manager Barlow informed everyone they would be meeting in the
City Hall Conference Room for the Executive Session, after which
everyone authorized proceeded to the Conference Room.
Adjourn public meeting
The public meeting was adjourned at 5: 10 p.m.
Re open public meeting
The public meeting was reopened at 5 : 26 p.m.

The meeting adjourned at 5:26 p.m.
