01-18-2012 CITY OF EDGEWATER ANIMAL CONTROL BOARD MEETING January 18,2012 7:00 PM LEISURE SERVICES OFFICE, 1108 S. RIDGEWOOD AVE. MINUTES ROLL CALL/CALL TO ORDER Chairwoman Donna Wagner called the January 18, 2012 meeting to order. Members present were Jamie Young, Karen Mason, Dr.Vanis, and Donna Wagner. Mary Wenderoth was absent. . APPROVAL OF MINUTES Dr.Vanis made a MOTION to approve the minutes of the June 15, 2011 meeting and Karen Mason seconded . MOTION carried 4-0. Jamie Young made a MOTION to approve the Dangerous Dog Hearing Minutes from June 29, 2011, and Karen Mason seconded. MOTION carried 4-0. NEW BUSINESS Yearly Election of Chairman and Vice-Chairman Nominations for Chairman were opened and Karen Mason nominated Donna Wagner to remain as Chairman.There were no other nominations for Chairman. Karen Mason made a MOTION to keep Donna Wagner as Chairman (upon approval from Council), and Jamie Young seconded . MOTION carried 3-0. Nominations for Vice-Chairman were opened and Jamie Young nominated Dr.Vanis to remain as Vice-Chairman. There were no other nominations for Vice-Chairman. Jamie Young made a MOTION to keep Dr.Vanis as Vice-Chairman (upon approval from Council), and Karen Mason seconded. MOTION carried 3-0. Term Expiration of Mary Wenderoth, Donna Wagner and Karen Mason Both Donna Wagner and Karen Mason signed a memo expressing their desire to be re- appointed to the Animal Control Board for another term,to which the entire Board agreed. Mary was not present and will be sent a memo. Mrs. Wagner stated they will need to get a list of any other people wanting to be on the Board,should Mary not wish to be re-appointed. January 18, 2012 Minutes Animal Control Board OLD BUSINESS It was asked if the ordinance they worked on at the last meeting was passed by Council and Mrs. Wagner said that it was. MISCELLANEOUS The Board discussed the possibility that in the future they may have to consider revisiting a nuisance noise ordinance for constantly barking dogs, and possibly also a leash law for dogs at large in the county. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, Dr.Vanis made a MOTION to adjourn, seconded by Karen Mason. MOTION carried 4-0.
