""" CITY OF EDGEWATER Land Development and Regulatory Agency Regular Meeting Wednesday, July 30,1997 6:30 p.m. Chairman Masso called to order the regular meeting of the Land Development and Regulatory Agency at 6:30 p.m., July 30, 1997 in the Community Center, 102 N. Riverside Drive, Edgewater, Florida. ROLL CALL Members present were Ms. Hickox, Mr. Moncure (arrived 6:32 p.m.), Mr. Garthwaite, Mr. Hildenbrand and Chairman Masso. Ms. Lichter and Ms. Agrusa were record absent. Also in attendance were Mark P. Karet, Director of Community Development, Krista A. Storey, City Attorney and Sondra M. Pengov, Board Coordinator. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Mr. Moncure to approve the minutes of April 30, 1997 and a second made by Mr. Garthwaite. Motion CARRIED 5-0. OLD BUSINESS N one at this time. NEW BUSINESS Public Hearine' - CU-9702 - Toe Martin. PE. Authorized Ae'ent for Coronado Paint Requested a Conditional Use to Allow the Heie'ht of a Buildine' to Exceed the 26 Foot Heieht Limit in the 1-2 District. Chairman Masso open the public hearing and asked Mr. Karet for the staff report. Mr. Karet said the applicant is requesting a conditional use permit to erect a structure above the 26 foot height limitation in the 1-2, Heavy Industrial District. He said the applicant also wishes to construct a 14,000 square foot roof over to an existing outdoor tank farm. Mr. Karet said the applicant wishes to match the roof ridge height of their existing tank farm roof-over to the south. The ridge height of this structure is 34.3 feet above grade. Mr. Karet said Section 612 of the Land Development Code establishes standards for the review of conditional use permits. He said based on staff findings, the Department of Community Development supports the applicant's request. Mr. Karet concluded saying, staff recommends that the LDRA grant a conditional use permit to allow erection of the proposed tank farm roof-over and receiving warehouse to be constructed with an overall height of 34.3 feet above grade. Chairman Masso asked if any Board members visited or spoke with anyone regarding the property being discussed. All members replied no. After brief discussion, Mr. Garthwaite asked if the Fire/Recuse Department had reviewed this request. Mr. Karet replied the Fire/Recuse Department has reviewed this and all code requirements have been provided. Chairman Masso asked the applicant if he had any comments. Mr. Martin (authorized agent) had no comments and no comments were made by the public. Chairman Masso then asked for a motion. Mr. Moncure moved to approve the request with a second from Mr. Garthwaite. The motion CARRIED 5-0. DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Community Director's Report Mr. Karet said the Evaluation and Appraisal Report will be presented to the City Council at the August 15th meeting. B. Chairman's Report Chairman Masso asked when the meeting date change will be effected. The Board Coordinator stated the meetings of August through November will be the last Monday of each month. C. Agency Member's Report Land Development and Regulatory Agency Regular Meeting July 30, 1997 2 ..... .".", Mr. Moncure commended staff on the presentation of the EAR document. Mr. Moncure also announced that he will be resigning from the Board as he will no longer be a resident of Edgewater.
