MINUTES
ROLL CALL/CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson, Robin Hendricks called the regular meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. in City Hall.
Members present were: Robin Hendricks, Donna Wagner, Liz Scavarda, and Dr. Vanis. Also
present were Animal Control Supervisor, Robin Feger, loAnn Richard, Board Secretary and Legal
Assistant, Robin Wolf
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Donna Wagner made a motion with Second by Liz Scavarda to approve the August 27, 1998
minutes. Motion to approve was carried 4-0.
OLD BUSINESS
There was discussion regarding increasing administrative fees for City Licenses for local
veterinarians.
Robin Hendricks inquired regarding Mr. and Mrs. Bodien's problem with their neighbor fostering
puppies. Robin Feger informed the Board that she has been in touch with Mrs. Bodien and that there
may be possible Code Enforcement issues that need to be addressed. Also, that she had received
some barking complaints for that same residence.
NEW BUSINESS
Robin Feger would like to give each of the Board Members a copy of a "Disaster Plan" for disaster
preparedness at the next meeting.
Robin Wolf passed out copies of the "Pet Festival" flyers to be distributed to local schools, day cares,
veterinarian clinics, supermarkets, etc. for each Board Member's review.
Robin Hendricks asked what the age limit is for children entering contest for the festival. It was
agreed that Robin Wolf would include an age limit on the flyers.

There was discussion regarding raffles, food, clowns, hayride, games etc. Liz Scavarda volunteered
to do face painting.
Robin Wolf explained that there was money allocated for trophies for 1 st place, in all age brackets,
ribbons for 2nd and 3rd place, participation ribbons for every contestant.
Robin Feger suggested providing a hayride. Robin Wolf is going to check on getting mini mules.
It was agreed that all Board Members would meet at Rotary Park at 7:00 a.m.
Donna Wagner agreed to distribute flyers to all the local veterinarian offices. Robin Hendricks will
distribute flyers to all pre-schools, banks, local supermarkets and businesses.
Robin Feger agreed to contact the Penneysaver to place an ad.
Donna Wagner is looking into finding clowns.
Robin Hendricks suggested to have our regular meeting prior to the festival to discuss final
preparations.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, Donna Wagner moved to adjourn, Second by Liz
Scavarda. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
