CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM MINUTES CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting was called to order by chairperson, Robin Hendricks, at 7:04 PM in the City Hall Conference Room. ROLL CALL Members present were: Robin Hendricks, Donna Wagner, Liz Scavarda, Debbrah Brazzell. Also present were: Animal Control Dave Castetter, Legal Assistant Robin Matusick, and Board Secretary Sue Griffiths Members absent were: Dr. David Vanis. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion to approve the minutes of the November 30, 2000 meeting was made by Donna Wagner, seconded by Liz Scavarda. Motion unanimous. NEW BUSINESS Elect Chairpersons A motion was made by Liz Scavarda to keep the Chairperson Robin Hendricks in her position and Donna Wager as Co Chairperson. No one seconded and the following discussion initiated. Debbrah Brazzell stated she felt that she would like to consider Donna Wagner as Chairperson and Robin Hendricks as co- chairperson. Since there were only two members involved in debate the following motion was made. Motion was made by Donna Wagner to postpone election until all board members are present, seconded by Debbrah Brazzell. Motion carried unanimous. '-" ..." Meeting Day Board members discussed changing meeting day from the third Thursday of every month to the third Wednesday of the month. After brief discussion the following motion was made. Motion was made to hold future meetings on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 pm by Donna Wagner, seconded by Debbrah Brazzell. Motion: Unanimous OLD BUSINESS Ordinance Changes All board members had read the Southeast Volusia Humane Society Agreement (SEVHS) dated January 8th 2001. After discussion how agreement may effect ordinances the following changes were decided on. Sec. 5-41. (b) Disposition of impounded animals. Motion made by Debbrah Brazzell, seconded by Donna Wagner to delete 3 days and add 5 days. Section 5-41 (b) to read as follows: If an animal is not claimed within three (3) five (5) days after impoundment, the animal shall be disposed of pursuant to the requirements of this chapter and the rules and regulations of the impounding facility. Motion carried unanimous. Resolution No. 97-R-17 LicensefTag Section 5-31 Motion made by Debbrah Brazzell to change fees of city license to $12.00 intact animal, $9.00 sterilized animal, $2.00 to re-issued tag, and add a $2.00 administration fee for veterinarians who issued city licenses, seconded by Donna Wagner. Motion carried unanimous. Resolution No. 97-R-17 Breeding and Kennels Section 5-36 Motion made by Donna Wagner to change Resolution by adding Breeding and Kennels with annual breeder license fee of $25.00, per animal, seconded by Debbrah Brazzell. Motion carried unanimous. Resolution No. 97-R-17 Impoundment Section 5-41 Motion made be Donna Wagner to change Resolution under fees from $33.00 per impoundment to $37.00 for three days and add $45.00 per impoundment for five days, seconded by Debbrah Brazzell. Motion carried unanimous. W' 'WI' ADJOURNMENT Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Donna Wagner, seconded by Robin Hendricks. Motion carried unanimous. The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 P.M.
