jCorporate Guide:
' VOLUSIAM
Volusia County's industry and business base is growing — particularly in areas such as transportation, tech-
nology and professional services, while maintaining a strong presence in manufacturing, finance and trade.
Businesses find Volusia an attractive home because of its strong, increasingly diverse economy; its skilled
labor force and work ethic; cooperative financing sources; and growing office and industrial space.
Business, government and economic development leaders are working closely together to tell Volusia
County's story. To help do that, these leaders are committing their resources to develop one primary
publication to reach companies that are planning to relocate or expand.
(Corporate Guide: VOLUSIA]
Corporate Guide. VOLUSIA will be used extensively by these leaders as they help local companies grow
and out -of -market companies move here. The Volusia County Department of Economic Development
and its partners will be significant users of this new, distinctive marketing tool. Others who will find this an
invaluable tool are city officials throughout the county; chambers of commerce; and real estate brokers
working with their prospects.

See what others are saying about Community/D
'The problem was that nobody could deliver the demographics like Bunton does. Nobody else did
psychogrephlcs to the extent that they do. On top of that, they also have hot buttons of retailers, so they
can match retailers with interested cities." ,
-Jolene Polyack, Economic Development Coordinator, Kingsburg, CA
(printed in The Kingsburg Recorder)
"Buxton does awesome work. They do what they say they will do, within the time frame stated. Their
final work product is very professional and informative. It is without reservation that I recommend
Buxton for your retail development needs."
Jim Jeffers, City Manager, City of Nacogdoches, TX
"1 should say, however that the process [Community/D] seems to work. Three hits out of the first 20
without even sending out a packetll!"
C. Mark Smith, Manager, Business and Economic Devleopment, City of Richland, WA
In addition to working with community clients, Buxton works with hundreds
of retail and restaurant clients in site selection including Pier 1 Imports, The
Container Store, Ben & Jerry% Benihana, Dollar Tree Stares, Bass Pro Shops
