City Hall Conference Room.

Jodi Geiger and Diane Gross. Also present was Mrs. Brewer from
Brewer Printing and Jennifer Halperin from the press.

Mrs. Fish seconded the motion. Motion CARRIED 4-0.
OLD BUSINESS
Beautification Award SiQn
Mr. Seifert stated the winners of the Slogan Contest were awarded
their prizes at the November 0, 1989 Council Meeting. Mrs.
Geiger added that both winners stopped into her nursery and
picked up their plants.
Mrs. Geiger introduced Mrs. Brewer from Brewer Printing. She said
she approached Mrs. Brewer and her husband about making a
Beautification Award Sign and they graciously donated three,
double-sided signs for the Beautification Committee to award to
the monthly winners of the Beautification Award. All of the
members expressed their gratitude to Mrs. Brewer and agreed they
had done a beautiful job on the signs.
The Committee proceeded to choose their winner from 20ne 1 for
the first Beautification Award presentation. It was agreed that
it would be presented for the month of December.
Donation Cans
The Committee discussed the donation can project and decided to
let the Elementary School students decorate labels for the cans,
using the new Beautification Slogan. The cans would then be
taken to local businesses in the hopes of getting donations for
Beautification projects. All agreed that letting the children
decorate the labels would help to make them aware of keeping
their City clean. Mr. Seifert agreed to approach the Elementary
School about helping with this project.
NEW BUSINESS
Election of Vice-Chairman
Due to the resignation of JoAnne Sikes, the Committee proceeded
to open nominations for Vice-Chairman. Mrs. Fish nominated Mrs.
Geiger and Mrs. Gross seconded the motion. There were no other
nominations and Mrs. Geiger was chosen as Vice-Chairman by
acclamation.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:00
P.M.
