OLD BUSINESS Car Wash Project Mr. Seifert stated he had contacted St. John's River Water Management District for approval to hold the car wash and was told it would be no problem and if he wished they would send a letter stating this. The Committee agreed it would be best to have a letter of approval. He said he had spoken with President of the Volunteer Fire Association, George Barlow, and was told the car wash could be held at the Fire Station without interference to a possible emergency. He said Mr. Barlow would be getting back with him about some of the volunteers helping out with washing the cars. There was discussion as to what would be the best date to have the car wash and the Committee felt that to get the proper publicity and have time to sell tickets ahead of time that May would be a better month than April. Saturday, May 19th, was chosen as the date with the car wash running from Noon tv 4..:00 P.M. MISCELLANEOUS Councilman Hatfield asked if the Committee was aware of the efforts of the Edgewater Elementary School in their recent beautifica-tion of the school property. Mr. Seife:rt said they were and would like to present them with a special recognition award. Mrs. Geiger noted they were not eligible to receive the sign award as the rules are that the landscaping has to have been in for a year, but a special award certificate would be a good idea.
