CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Ben Wagner called the regular meeting of the Code Enforcement Board to
order at 2:00 PM in the Community Center.
ROLL CALL
Members present: Ben Wagner, Ed Corn, Glenn Barnhill, Gail Anderson, Alice
Haldeman and Sherry Lester. Also present were Code Supervisor Jeff Lariscy, Code
Officer Mike McGrath, and Board Coordinator Shontella Jackson.
Absent and excused: Code Officer Dan Koehler
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Minutes for the regular meeting of October 10, 2013 were presented to the Board
for approval. MOTION by Alice Haldeman. SECOND by Sherry Lester to adopt
the minutes of Citizen Code Enforcement Board on October 10. 2013 as written,

Code Supervisor Jeff Lariscy presented the case summary to the Board. Code
Supervisor Jeff Lariscy presented staff's recommendation to find Linda Sue Bernard in
violation of Section 10-115 of the Code of Ordinances assessing a citation fine of$75.00
and an additional fine of$50.00 per day per violation that continues to exist past
November 15, 2013 and for a lien to be placed on the property if not satisfied by
November 20, 2013. Code Supervisor Jeff Lariscy testified that the vehicle(s) has been
parked in the front yard numerous times.
Nick who is a tenant and residents at 14 Wildwood Dr. states he has limited
parking and is unsure what to do about the parking situation. Nick stated that he has
several friends come over and the conduct repairs on vehicles. The public hearing was
closed. MOTION by Alice Haldeman. SECOND by Ed Corn that the Board finds
Linda Sue Bernard in violation of Section 10-115 of the Code of Ordinances
assessing the citation fine of$75.00 and waive the additional fine of$50.00 per day
for each day the violation exists past November 15. 2013 and that a lien is placed on

Code Officer Mike McGrath presented the case summary to the Board. Code Officer
Mike McGrath presented staff's recommendation to find Sepco Investments One LLC in
violation of Section 21-36.03 of the Code of Ordinances assessing a citation fine of
$75.00 and an additional fine of$50.00 per day per violation that continues to exist past
November 15, 2013 and for a lien to be placed on the property if not satisfied by
November 20, 2013.
Dan Weaver antique shop owner and occupant of 408 S. Ridgewood Ave. testified that
he was guilty of placing antiques outside on the sidewalk to encourage customers to
come inside and browse his store. The public hearing was closed. MOTION by Ed
Corn, SECOND by Sherry Lester that the Board finds Sepco Investments One
LLC in violation of Section 21-36.03 of the Code of Ordinances assessing the
citation fine of 575.00 and waive the additional fine of 550.00 per day for each day
he violation exists past November 15. 2013 and that a lien is placed on the groperty
of not satisfied by November 20, 2013, MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 6-

Case 92013-CE-107614, Citation 9 3548 (Koehler), Ranee Maillet— 1708 Bradford Rd.,
Edgewater, FL, Violation of Section— 10-224 (Roof& drainage)
Code Supervisor Jeff Lariscy presented the case summary to the Board. Code
Supervisor Jeff Lariscy presented staff's recommendation to find Ranee Maillet in
violation of Sec. 10-224 of the Code of Ordinances assessing a citation fine of$75.00
and an additional fine of$50.00 per day per violation that continues to exist past
November 15, 2013 and for a lien to be placed on the property if not satisfied by
November 20, 2013. Code Supervisor Jeff Lariscy stated the property is vacant. No one
was present to testify. An email was entered into evidence for the Board to review and
is labelled Exhibit A. The public hearing was closed. MOTION by Sherry Lester.
SECOND by Glenn Barnhill that the Board finds Ranee Maillet in violation of
Section 10-224 of the Code of Ordinances assessing the citation fine of 575.00 and
additional fine of$50.00 per day for each day the violation exists past November
15. 2013 and that a lien is placed on the property of not satisfied by November 20.
2013, It is also recommended that the Board issue a Board Order requesting the
City Manager approve the expenditure to have the commercial vehicle removed if
he violation is not corrected by May 15. 2013 and that a lien is placed on the

Chairman Ben Wagner concluded with it appears after reviewing these cases no one was
present for any of the cases mentioned above. Pursuant to Section 10-348 and 10-345
subparagraph C of the Code of Ordinance and the statement that appears on the
respected citation issued that failure to appear at this hearing means the alleged violator
has waived any right to contest the violation and that an order can be made against for
the maximum applicable penalties that include but not limited to administrative costs,
fines, daily fines and liens however we have the benefit of the staff recommendations,
motion and actions to be taken by the Board. MOTION by Ed Corn. SECOND by
Gail Anderson to accent the findings and staff recommendation. MOTION
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

CODE COMPLIANCE REPORT:
Code Supervisor Jeff Lariscy announced that this was Mike McGrath last day as a code
officer. He has transferred to the City Water Department.
