APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Ruggles moved to approve the minutes of the January 12,
1995 meeting and Mrs. Pittman seconded the motion. Motion
CARRIED 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS
26 Acres/Tour of Homes
Mr. Corder stated we are now out for bids on the
construction of the home and we have had the closing for the
lot that was purchased on the southwest corner of Royal Palm
and Indian River Boulevard. He said the bids on the
construction are due back on April 19th and he would like to
have a meeting soon thereafter for the Board to review them.
Mr. Tipton asked him if he specified in the bids the exact
amount of rooms and exactly what he wanted or was it more
general. Mr. Corder replied he just gave a few specifics
such as 1,600 square feet, split plan, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths,
2 car garage, fireplace, option with pool, etc. and the
design they come up with will really be their own and when
the bids come back we will decide on factors such as price,
design and furnishings.
Mr. Corder said he is looking at September 11th as the date
for actually opening up the tours to the home. He proceeded
to show the Board a coupon flyer he had made up to hand out
at the upcoming Business Expo as a little pre advertisement.
Mr. Ruggles asked if the city were required to take the
lowest bid on this project and Mr. Corder replied no and we
can pick the design we like.
Mr. Corder said the drawing would be December 16th and it
would be held either at the house or at the 26 acre site and
maybe we could have a tent set up and have a BBQ or
something similar. Mr. Ruggles asked about the eligibility
of Board members to be able to purchase a ticket and Mr.
Corder said Council had decided that everyone, even himself
and the Board could have a chance to win.
The Board further discussed ticket sales
furnishings, appliances, etc. for the home.
that the Board will have a special meeting
review the bids that come back.

get an easement on one, which will leave two remaining.
MISCELLANEOUS
Mr. Tipton talked about a car that the students at his high
school had made and they get requests to take the car around
and show it and he questioned whether or not they could
maybe show it for the kids at the Summer Recreation program.
Mr. Corder said that would be good for a morning session and
they would get together on it later.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mr. Ruggles moved to
adjourn, seconded by Mrs. Pittman.
