AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USE OF
THE STREETS OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWA-
TER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, WHEN
THE SAME ARE OCCUPIED BY FIRE EN-
GINES, AMBULANCES OR OTHER EMERGEN-
CY EQUIPMENT, AND PROVIDING A PENAL-
TY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
EDGEWATER, V010SIA COUNTY, FLORIDA:
SECTION I.
It shall be unlawful for any operator of any motor
vehicle, carriage, buggy or wagon, or any person or
persona to block, congest or in any way interfere
with the progress of any fire fighting equipment,
such as fire trucla, hook and ladder trucks, and/or
any ambulances, police cars or any other so-called
emergency equipment, or in any rise hinder or delay
such emergency equipment upon any and all of the
streets and highways of the Town of Edgewater.
SECTION II.
That all fire fighting equipment, motorized or other-
wise, and all ambulances and all police cars and all
hearses shall be given the right-of-way upon the
streets and highways within the corporate limits of
the Town of Edgewater.
SECTION III.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this
ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not exceed-
ing or by imprisonment not exceeding

daye'or by both such fine and imprisonment at
the discretion of the Court.
SECTION IV.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION V.
This ordinance shall take effect upon being passed by
the Town Council, approved by the Mayor, or upon becom-
ing a law without such approval, after being posted two
days at the V. I. A. Hall and two other public places
in the Town of Edgewater.
