D. 1935; PROVIDING WHEN SUCH TAXES SHALL BE- CCI•a; DUE ALD BECOME DELIN`,UENT AND BE SOLD FOR NON-PAYMENTg AND PROVIDING FUR DIS- COUNTS IF PAID BEFORE MARCH 1ST. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOilN OF EDGE - WATER, VCLUSIA Ci,UNTY, FLORIDAt Section 1. All real property in the Town of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida shall be taxed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida and the Ordinances of said Town and the millage for the purpose of taxation to raise the required revenue for the necessary and ordinary expen- sea and the special and extraordinary expenses comtemplated by the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater is hereby set at 9.5 mills upon the dollar; and it is therefore det- ermined and hereby declared that a tax of 9.5 mills upon the dollar be levied and the same is hereby imposed upon all taxable real property lying and being in the Town of Edge- water, Florida for the year A. D. 1935. Section 2. That the Town Clerk be and he is hereby direct- ed to note the said assessment on the assessment roll and to asse�a ttie fore oing tax as fixed and levied by this Ord- inance upon the taxable property set forth in the said tax assessment roll of said city, and to extend said tax on said roll. y Section S. All of the above taxes shall be due and payable on the lst day of November, A. D. 1935 and may be paid at any time prior to the 1st Monday in April, A. D. 1936 at which ti-e said taxes shall become delinquent in accordance with I the Ordinances of said Town and the laws of the State of Florida; that on the 1st Monday in Junep A. D. 1936 all pro - party on which taxes have not been paid will be sold by the Town Clerk as tax collector for such unpaid taxes and cost, as provided by law. Section 4. If any taxpayer shall pay his taxes between the let day of Iaovember and the let day of December he shall be allowed a discount of 4% therefrom; and if he shall pay the same on the let day of December and before the let day of January he shall be allowed a discount of 3%, therefrom; and if he shall pay the said taxes on the let day of January and before the let day of February he shall be allowed a discount of 2% therefrom; and if he shall pay the scid taxes on the let day of February and before the 1st day of March he shall be allowed a discount of 1% therefrom; such discounts to be allowed on taxes assessed and paid for the current year. Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith bey and the same are hereby repealed. Section 6. That this Ordinance shall become a law upon being passed by the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, approved by the mayor or becoming a law without such approval* and posted at the V. I. A. Hall and three public places in the Town of Edgewater, Florida, and shall become effective imm- ediately upon becomin;; a law. This Ordinance was read and passed upon its first reading; and upon motion duly nude, seconded and unanimously carried, the requirement of reading this ordinance upon second reading was waived, and this ordinance was ordered put upon its final passage. Passed upon final passage with the unanimous vote of the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, and approved as provided by law this /day of October, A.
