ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A REGISTRATION
OFFICER, THE TIME APED METHOD OF REGISTRATION OF VOTERS,
TEE REGISTRATION OF ALL VOTERS OF '=TIONS TO BE HELD
IN THE. YEAR A. D. 1930 AND. SUBSEQUENT YEARS THEREAFTER,
THE UALIFICATIONS OF VOTERS ENTITLED TO REGISTRATION,
PRESCRIBING THE OATH OF THOSE APPLYING FOR REGISTRATION,
PROVIDING FOR TRY REVISION OF AND THE RES'TORA^.ION OF
NAMES I'i THE REGISTRATION BOOK, THE NOTICE OF 'HE PAY-
MENT OF POLL TAXES, WHAT VOTERS MAY BE PERMITTED TO
VOTE AT ELECTIONS, THE FURNISHING OF THE REGISTRATION
BOOE TO JUDGES OF ELECTIONS, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY
FOR "IILLFUL REFJSAL OR NEGLECT TO REGISTBa ANY PERSON

AND REPEALING S ECTION NINE OF SAID ORDINANCE 170. 29 AS
AMEXDFD BY ORDINANCE NO. 41, AND REPEALING SAID ORDI-
NANCE NO. 41 SO AS TO ABOLISH THE PAYMENT OF BOLL TAXES
AS A PRWgUISITE FOR VOTING IN IM70TIONS OF THE SAID
TOWN OF EDGEWATER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE T07N COUNCIL OF THE TOM OF EDGENATER, FLORIDA,
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE SAME:
Section One. That Section Fight of Ordinance No. 29 of the Town of
Edgewater, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section Eight. Only registered voters Shall be
entitled and rermitted to vote at any town election.
Section Two. That Ordinance No. 41 of the Town of Edgewater be and
the same is hereby revealed.
Section Three. That Section Nine of Ordinance No. 29 of the Town of
Edgewater, as amended by Ordinance No. 41 of said Town of Edgewater, be and the
I same is hereby repealed.
Section Four. That this Ordinance shall on the day following its
passage be posted for a period of five (5) days in four (4) public places in the
Term of Edgewater, Florida, and shall Lake effect inrediately on its passage.

This Ordinance was read a first time in still and passed by tie unanimous
vote of the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting
of said Town Council held August 3, A. D. 1937.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried the requirement
of reading this Ordinance upon second reading was waived and this Ordinance was
ordered put upon its second passage at said regular meeting of said Town Council
Passed upon final passage with the unanimous vote of the Town Council
of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, and annroved as provided by law this S q.
