68AN ORDIIIA14CE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO RESIST TrE OFFICERS OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AND TO NEGLECT TO RENDER NECESSARY AID TO THEM, IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR LAWFUL DUTIES, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COS1'CIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. ' Whoever knowingly and wilfully resists, obstructs or opposes any Marshall, Deputy Mar- shall, or other person legally authorized to execute process by the Town of Edgewater, Florida, in the execu- tion of legal process or in the execution of any legal duty imposed upon such Marshall, Deputy Marshall or other person, by offering or doing violence to the person of such officer or legally authorized person, shall be pun- ished by a fine not exceeding F, F'LY dollars, or by imprisonment not exceeding S:xT Y T) 14 Y'S _, or both, as the mayor may determine. Section 2. Whoever shall obstruct or oppose any such officer or legally authorized person in the execu- tion of said legal process or in the lawful execution of any legal duty imposed upon such officer or legally authorized person, without offering or doing violence to the person of i the said officer or legally authorized person, shall be pun- ished by a fine not exceeding�j�EN'f�- -Ft VE dollars, or by imprisonment not exceeding —1—H Vw-r Y . it y s , or both, as the Mayor may determine. Section 3. 'Whoever, refuses or neglects to render the said Marshall, Deputy Marshall or legally authorized person all assistance in the execution of said process or in the performance of said duty, when called on, not being physically incomeptent, shall be punished by fine not ex- ceeding TF_N -- dollars, or by imprisonment not exceeding TE rl -D Fit( 5 , + or both, as the ffiayor may determine. Section 4. Any OrdUnce or part of Ordinance of the said Town of Edgewater, Florida, in conflict herewith, be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 5. That this Ordinance shall on the day following its passage be posted for a period of five days in four public places in the Town of Edgewater, Florida, and shall take effect immediately on its passage. This Ordinance was read a first time in full and passed by the unanimous vote of the Town Council of the Town of ydgewater, Florida. Upon Motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried the requirement of reading this Ordin- ance upon second reading was waived and this ordinance was ordered put upon its second passage. Passed upon final passage with the unanimous vote of the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, and approved as provided by law this 21st day of September, A.
