APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Board Member Ed Corn, second by Board Member Alice Haldeman to approve the minutes of the March 12,2014 meeting. 4. SWEARING IN OF WITNESSES Sworn in were Code Officer Dan Koehler and Code Officer Kevin Pogany. Also sworn in was Bo Cooper of 1924 Willow Oak Dr., Edgewater, FL. 5. NEW BUSINESS -PUBLIC HEARING 6. Chairman Ben Wagner asked if they were here for a case on the agenda? They replied yes and he requested that they approach the podium to be sworn in for testimony. Sworn in was Bo Cooper of 1924 Willow Oak Dr., Edgewater, FL to contest the citation. Code Officer Kevin Pogany presented the case to the Board. He states he has resided at this location for ten years and started receiving notices for parking, grass and weeds. He states that he use to own a landscaping business but has sold it along with his lawn equipment. He had hired someone to maintain the property but they were busy and didn't maintain the property in a timely matter. The property has been maintained per Code Ofc. Kevin Pogany. Mr. Cooper states he will make sure this does not happen again and would like for the Board to take his case into consideration. A motion to find in violation and waive the citation fines/fees was made by Board Member Russell Baugher, second by Ed Corn. Pursuant to Section 10-348 and 10-345 subparagraph C 11 of the Code of Ordinance and the statement that appears on the respected citation issued that failure to appear at this hearing means the alleged violator has waived any right to contest the violation and that an order can be made against for the maximum applicable penalties that include but not limited to administrative cost, fines, daily fines and liens however we have the benefit of the staff recommendations, motion and actions to be taken by the Board. A motion was made by Board Member Alice Haldeman, second by Board Member Ed Corn to accept the findings and follow the staff recommendations. CODE COMPLIANCE REPORT Code Officer Dan Koehler stated they have 120 new cases and worked 184 cases. 105 cases have been resolved. 8. DISCUSSION ITEMS Mr. Wagner announced that he will not be attending the June meeting due to he will be out of town. Mr. Corn also announced that he will not be attending the May meeting. 9.
